Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
baked as directed but added a bit more lemon zest. Still not lemony enough. They were okay, I still ate 'em, but I've had better.

Make-Ahead Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
Good! Made with everything except the lentils and cornstarch. When it was cooked I took two ladle fulls and put them in the blender and then added it back to the pot to make it a bit creamier and thicker. Prep did take a long time but peeling and chopping all those veggies was worth it!

Olive Salad for Muffalettas

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
I love olives and Muffalettas but this combo was way to greasy and overpowering.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
They were good, I followed others advice and added brown sugar and vanilla and also poured the soda around the sides. They definitely did not need an hour to cook, more like 25 minutes. I recommend letting them sit for a least 5 minutes after cooking to let the sauce thicken a bit.

Very good! Not everyone's taste at the party but was still good. Served it cold. Great picnic salad!

Laura's Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
Not the best dip I've ever had. Followed the recipe exact and it was very bland. And even with using small curd cottage cheese the lumps were still unpleasant. It ended up tasting like cottage cheese overpowered with blue cheese. Will not make again.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
This was fantastic! I added one egg and the spices to the ricotta to give it more flavor and used pre-cooked diced chicken breast. With using no- boil noodles all I had to cook was the sauce which was pretty simple. Everyone loved this recipe. We ate the whole pan in one sitting!

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
This was one of the BEST soups I've ever had. I used half and half instead of soy milk so it was even creamier. I will definitely double or even triple the recipe next time I made it as it only produced about 3 1/2 bowls. And believe me, you'll want more. A tip-to avoid stringiness, simply hold the piece of asparagus by the bottom and middle top of the stalk and break. It will always break at the point that the top half will be perfect.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
A little time consuming but worth it. Very tasty and the spices make it different from your normal meat and potato dish.

Black-Eyed Peas and Tortillas

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Very yummy. Used red pepper flakes instead of a jalapeno and it was just enough spice. Topped with sour cream. Was great even without cheese. Could of used less liquid though, I let it simmer for quite a while so it wasn't so soupy.

Mexican Cream Cheese Rollups

These are FANTASTIC! Everyone loved them and requested the recipe. Didn't even need the salsa to dip them in. Olive lovers must try this recipe!

Hot Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
It's good but pretty bland and I used a lot more hot sauce than recommended. Also, it calls for way too much cheese and as a cheese lover I can't believe that I'm saying this but I would cut it by at least half.
