Buttermilk Pie

The flavor of this pie is exceptional, but I couldn't get it to firm up for the life of me! I don't know if the temperature gauge is off in my oven or what, but I left this in waaaaay longer than it needed to be. Maybe if I make it again I'll use some cornmeal to help it thicken as someone else suggested.

Pie Crust III

I love this recipe! It's so easy and it comes out beautifully. I add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar as other reviewers have suggested and it's perfect. I also don't always roll it out, this dough works if you just press it into the pan as well.

Irish Stew

This was excellent! I used top sirloin beef instead of lamb, added vegetable broth and water, and added other herbs. I also switched out red potatoes instead of russet. Other than that I was pretty true to the recipe. I even added the parsnips and actually really enjoyed them. I definitely would make this again! I paired it with some soda bread and it was perfect.

Irish Brown Soda Bread

I'm so excited I found this recipe! I moved to Ireland for a while last year and one of my favorite things to do was run to the bakery and pick up a loaf of soda bread. It's been impossible to find it the same way here in the states, even at Irish bakeries, so I was ecstatic! This recipe is almost right on. I'm definitely making this again. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Basil Brussels Sprouts

These turned out really well actually. I cooked them most of the way in the microwave, then sauteed them in a pan with the salt/pepper/basil mixture and olive oil instead of butter and they were perfect.

Roasted New Potatoes

I love this recipe. I used fresh rosemary instead of dried and ground sea salt and it turned out so flavorful and fantastic. It's fast too, all you have to do is mix all the ingredients together and stick it in the oven. I will definitely make it again!

Spiced Beef Pot Roast

This pot roast was okay. I found it to be too salty, and I thought there was too much oil used in the recipe so you end up with a lot of separation..it's just too much if you ask me. I doubt I'll use this recipe again, and if I do I'll tweak it.

Best quesadillas EVER. I used more salsa than this recipe called for, but it was so good. I loved how the cheese got crispy around the edges due to the oven. Yummy!

Hot Spiced Cider

I really enjoyed this recipe. I used apple juice instead of cider and didn't add the brown sugar; it was definitely sweet enough, so I recommend you use the brown sugar to taste. Also, I made this on the stove rather than in a coffee pot. I'll definitely make this again.

I highly recommend this recipe! Like others have said it shouldn't be used for a dessert, but I used it for quiche and it was excellent. So easy to make too! I will definitely make it again.
