Pennsylvania Dutch Pickled Beets and Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2013
I can't believe how amazing these are! I made one change. Instead of using 1 c. sugar, I used 1/3 tsp NuNaturals Nustevia.

Unexpected but delicious combination! I definitely wouldn't leave out the butter. Real butter just tastes so good!

Made-in-Minutes No-Cook Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
This is so, so, good! It tastes just like the truffles that you can get at Costco! I used butter instead of coconut oil.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Even though I followed some other reviewers suggestions about less sugar, more peanut butter, it still was too sweet. Next time I will try with only 1 c. powdered sugar and maybe a bit more peanut butter.

Wild Duck Gumbo

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
My family loved this! They liked it so much that they requested it to bring hunting, which, when we go hunting, we only bring special foods that we only get when we go hunting. The first time I made it I used smoked turkey. I have also used deer. My older brother is planning on shooting some huns or grouse this winter to make it from.

Spicy Tomato Cooler

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
I really liked this. I did change a few things to it. I didn't have Worcestershire, so I used some white wine vinegar. I wasn't sure what exactly was hot pepper sauce, so I just used some hot sauce, which had carrots in it. I put in at least 1/2 tsp. hot sauce. I like it spicy. Other people may not like it so hot. ;)

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
Delicious! I made this recipe and put them in muffin cups. I baked it for 40 minutes, and I think I should have done it for 30 minutes, because they were in muffin tins. But, anyway, they were SOOOO good. SOOOOO moist and soft. Also, I added chocolate chips. How could adding chocolate chips go wrong? :)

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I gave some quirks to it, because we didn't have mayonnaise. One I made with tomato sauce and Italian seasoning, and then one with ranch dressing. I made two others that didn't turn out so well, because I just used some extra milk. I had homemade self rising flour, so if I were to make the ranch one again, I would omit the salt. They were excellent!

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
everybody in my family loved these when they were filled. Only one sister, and myself, tried it plain. It was O.K. I am not a huge fan of Krispy Kreme, so I don't know how they compare to that, but I do love Albertsons doughnuts!
