Awesome Broccoli-Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
I always feel guilty rating recipes when I change them. But I'm doing it anyway. This was SO good. Even better reheated in the microwave the next day. Here are my changes: instead of 1 cup of mayo, I used 1/2c each of mayo & sour cream. I used fresh broccoli instead of frozen. I steamed it in a pot with some fresh garlic. I used cheddar & monterey jack cheese. I didn't measure the cheese, but I know I used way more than 8oz of cheese. Maybe double that. I also crushed about 20 ritz crackers on top before baking. Very yummy. I made this earlier in the day & just kept it covered in foil in the fridge until I was ready to pop it in the oven.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
By far the best PB cookie ever. I stopped making them because they always came out bad. Decided to give this recipe a try. PERFECT!! Love them. We do not add the chopped nuts though.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
OMG, so good! My husband LOVED them! Another day, I also did them with chicken breasts, to be like boneless buffalo wings & they were also delicious! I did not fry them. I used a big cookie sheet lined with foil & used my wire cookie rack and placed the wings/breasts on there in the oven. Will always make wings this way now. THANK YOU!

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Delicious! I read many reviews and adjusted. I only used 6 eggs. I used 1C milk and 1C half and half. I used maple syrup instead of corn syrup. According to another reviewer, I dipped the french bread slices into the mixture instead of pouring. Once I placed them in a 13x9 throw away pan, I poured the remainder of the liquid over the bread. Refrigerated it overnight. Turned the slices over the next morning. Baked it for half the time (covered). Took the cover off and poured the sauce over it and continued baking, uncovered for the rest of the time. The top pieces got crispy, but the bottom was a little soggy. But I thought it still tasted delicious!!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
Delicious! I made it to go over the "Too Much Chocolate Cake" from this site. YUM! I almost doubled it thinking it wouldn't be enough. But it was plenty to drizzle over a bundt cake.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
This is the best sauce ever! I made it for 2 people, but used all the ingredients because I like a lot of sauce for the rice. I had 4 burners going. 1 pot for the rice. 1 pan for the chicken. 1 pot for the sauce. 1 pan for veggies. I sauteed carrots and peppers with garlic & onions. When cooked, I added them to the cooked chicken and combined everything into the sauce pan. And put that mixture over the rice. What really made it delicious was the green onions I added to the pan after everything was basically just simmering. They gave it such a wonderful flavor!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Very good! The biscuits needed way longer than 30 mins. I did it for a couple hours according to other reviewers. I also added a bag of frozen mixed veggies when I put the biscuits in.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Delicious! I only used 2 cans of biscuits (the ones that have 8 biscuits) and it was PERFECT. Any more would not have fit in my bundt pan. I used butter, not margarine. I filled the pan halfway and poured some of the butter/sugar mixture over it, along with some nuts. And then poured the rest on top.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
WOW! I'm not even a cheesecake fan, but these were DELICIOUS! I made it exactly as is. But it says 12 servings, I easily got 25 little squares. Which would be fine for a gathering because all you need is a couple bites. They are very sweet because of that topping. SO VERY GOOD though.

Horseradish Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
These were delicious. Just a basic deviled egg recipe, which is what I was looking for. I changed the servings to 20, but didn't add the suggested amount of dill weed. For some reason, I am afraid of that spice. :-) Everything I did the same.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I'm only rating the dressing, I did not make the croutons. But the dressing was UNBELIEVABLE! Tasted like something from a fine restaurant. I didn't do anything different except omit the anchovy fillets. It was delicious. I bought a bag of caesar croutons. I also added some fresh shredded parm for the perfect look. SOOOOO GOOD, people! You must make it.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Delicious! I've made these w/o the yogurt by accident and they were still good, just drier. I never have plain yogurt, so I use any type (banana yogurt, strawberry banana yogurt, etc). I could not taste the strawberry in the muffin, even though I could smell it in the batter. SO GOOD!

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
This was pretty good. Nothing fantastic and I probably won't make it again. But I used 1lb of precooked breakfast sausage links from Costco. I thawed them and then sauteed them with some green pepper & onion before mixing with the other ingredients. I didn't use ground mustard, I used some maple syrup instead (from another reviewer --great tip!). I toasted the bread before dicing it up. And I sprinkled some cinnamon sugar on them. Then diced them. My sister is not a huge fan of eggs but liked this dish because she said it didn't really taste like eggs.

Almond Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
These were good, but I was expecting more of a dense bar. They were more cake-like. I even made mine in a foil-lined cookie sheet that was slightly larger than 13x9. But they were still a little thick and spongey. Having said that, they were SUPER moist & really tasty.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
This dip was delicious! Tasted just like a popper! It was a big hit at our party. I had a jar of diced jalapenos in my fridge I used instead of the 2oz can. And I know I added more than what was called for. But it was some seriously good dip!
