Doug's Easy Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
I loved this applesauce and I made 3 crockpots full with the apples I had. Went to my local farm and asked if they had "seconds" of their apples from their orchard. They came back with a huge bag of "seconds" which were just slightly bruised or just not pretty enough to sell. I tell you I had at least 40-50 apples of quite a few varieties and there was nothing wrong with them....AND the best part is that is was only $10 for the bag! I did reduce the brown sugar to 1/4c and the cider to 3/4 c. I did jar and process the applesauce as I wanted to keep it in my pantry and gift it to others. Thank you for an awesome recipe as I have never used brown sugar and cider before in applesauce. Way better than white sugar and water. Thanks!

Microwave Baked Potato

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
Although I prefer a "baked" potato with crispy skin.....this is quick when you have less time. Butter, sour cream, salt and pepper.....no one complains....time saver when needed. Thanks!

Easy Mini Bagel Pizzas

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
Very easy, kid friendly, adaptable and fast. I use a canned pizza sauce....after I spread some on the toasted bagel I sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasonings. Top with a pizza cheese blend and then the turkey pepperoni and sliced green pepper strips. Thanks!

Juicy Lucy Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
These were great burgers....my family loved them! I used 2 lbs of ground beef, a few splashes more of wortcestershire sauce and a few sprinkles of a montreal steak seasoning blend. These burgers were very flavorful and moist and loved the cheese all melty on the inside. I had no issue with the cheese leaking out. I also made them up ahead before grilling. Served with sliced tomatoes and carmalized onions. Thanks!

Reuben Crescent Bake

Delicious....made this for Super Bowl this year instead of a reuben dip. Loved it....I used reduced fat crescent rolls....not that it mattered to much with the meat and swiss! Great pot luck throw together. Thanks!

Toh Graham Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2014
Made this last weekend for company and they raved about it. Cake was moist and the streusel was so yummy. I very finely ground walnuts instead of pecans. I also used my homemade vanilla extract in the glaze. I initially found this exact recipe on Pinterest! Very easy to make and fast due to using a box mix which comes in very handy when your short on time. Thanks!

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
This was gone in a very short period of time! My company loved it. I only got one piece out of 2 lbs of kielbasa! I did use turkey kielbasa and decreased the brown sugar to 1/2c which was plenty sweet. I also used a creamed horseradish that was a bit milder and only used 2 tblspns of that instead of 4. Nice flavors! Easy appy. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
My family thought this was amazing! So easy! I used leftover chicken meat from a roaster that I had in the freezer and decided to make stock with. I also used frozen corn off the cob from the summer, fresh frozen peppers (green and yellow) from the summer......this was a very easy throw together , I used 2 pks of taco seasoning and served with tortilla chips, shredded cheddar and low fat sour cream. Excellent!

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2013
We enjoyed this! Great marinade. I cheated a bit and used the new Oikos brand Greek yogurt dip (Cucumber Dill) instead of making the homemade sauce and I served these on whole wheat pita. Next time I will make the Tsatziki sauce as I missed that garlic flavor in the storebought Greek dip. Thanks!

Easy Kielbasa Skillet Dinner

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2013
I have made this many times before with a similar Hillshire Farms recipe. I use turkey kielbasa, add crumbled bacon and carrots in addition to the other ingredients here. Smells wonderful while cooking and yes, the more veggies you add, stretches the dish. Great comfort meal.

Grilled Tofu Skewers with Sriracha Sauce

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
Amazing! I absolutely loved this! I am a huge fan of Sriracha sauce and not only did I marinated the tofu and veggies for a few hours in this delicious mariande, but I added more Sriracha on top of mine! The hotter the better. My only changes were to use 1 tblspn of sesame oil and 1 tblspn of olive oil, I used orange pepper and baby bella mushrooms with the zucchini....next time I will also add some chunks of vidalia onion to the skewers. Thanks!
