About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom of three children (boy 9, girl 6, boy 2). Most days I am fixing 2-3 hot meals because my husband telecommutes and is home for lunch. I help provide snacks for my Mom 2 Mom group, Awana Cubbie group, church events and meals for friends in need.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make chicken enchilladas, one pot meals, cookies and stirfrys.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas we would spend one day making pies for all of the extended family at our Christmas Eve gathering of families at Grandma's house. There were 15-20 pies of all different flavors and all of them were homemade. Yum!
My cooking triumphs
I made creme brule for a hosted desert table at a fund-raiser for our church's children center. It was perfect with the crispy sugar and fresh blackberries as garnish.
My cooking tragedies
Shortly before we were married, I made a meal that my husband named "Crockpot Chicken". Being new to crockpot cooking, I put the noodles in too soon and they disolved into wallpaper paste. It was so bad we threw the whole thing out and ordered pizza. After 11 years of marriage my husband still brings it up on occasion.

Curry Kabobs
The entire family loved this chicken. I did double the curry, add a splash of lemon juice and my hand slipped a little when I did the chili pwdr, but it was so yummy!

Easy Alfredo Sauce I
Easy. Even my picky kids ate it! Took advice and melted butter then added cream, then wisked in cheese. Had it with shrimp. Will definately make it again!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
Doubled the recipe, used butter intead of shortning, added garlic and shredded cheese - PERFECTION!
