Garlic Crab Legs

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
The first time I made this, I was confused about sauteeing the legs in the butter because I thought that it would be too messy to break them open...I was right. The flavor is nice, but it was a pain. I will continue to make it this way, but unshell the meat before the sautee. The corn came out sooo tasty as well. My hub, 5 year old AND picky teens even enjoyed this, corn and all...and that says a lot!! Thanks Robyn for the recipe.

Kabob Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2005
YUM! I made this with both chicken and beef. I skewered the meats (seperatly) on skewers, and the veggies, green, red, & yellow peppers and red onion, on seperate skewers so that the veggies didn't burn, they came out sooo tender and tasty. I was leary about the mustard, but they turned out great, Thank u so much Jon!!!!

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
The best popper recipe EVER! I had to use swiss cheese instead of cheddar because my husband doesn't like cheddar. If you like the heat, add the seeds and membrane (to your liking) to the cheese mixture. Also, I like to add garlic powder to the flour....can't go wrong there. This is a HUGE request for football season...as my hub has the guys over for EVERY game. Fabulous!! Thanks Heather.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2005
Fantastic! I made this on a whim for my picky in-laws and they loved it (as did my 15 year old picky daughter)! My neighbor gives me half of his "yellow squash crop" and this is the perfect way to use it up. This would be awesome at a brunch! Thanks Rosalie!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
Just what I was looking for! I chopped a dill pickle, skipped the sugar altogether and actually forgot to add the vinegar (oops). I also sliced the egg on top of the salad sprinkled with a bit of paprika sorta like a garnish. Oh and to take the edge off of the "miracle Whip" I subbed about a 1/4 cup of sour cream. YUM! Thank you Connie!

Spinach Dip in Pumpernickel

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
This went over great on Moms day! I didn't bake it, so I cut the parm cheese (tee-hee) down to about a 1/4 cup. I had a 10 oz bag of fresh spinach that I chopped very fine and didn't cook (to lazy to drain) and it was perfect. I also served it with a variety of crackers, which brought rave reviews. Next time I will double the pimentos as they were tasty! Thank you very much Julie!

Crown Roast of Pork with Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2005
This is my first time making crown roast pork and it came out delish! The stuffing on the other hand....well I'm not sure as it was a bit dry. Maybe next time I will use dry "cubes" instead of the crumbs as it was a bit crumbly. Other than that great meal! Thanks Marc.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2005
Fantastic! I just left it in the crock and served it. I wasn't quite sure whether to drain the broth or not, but I did drain most of it before adding the sweet baby rays. Very easy and got rave reviews at our super bowel, eh hem, bowl party. Thanks KK!

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2005
Boy, talk about easy & tasty (which + 5 stars in my book anyday)! I also cut the salt to 1/4 tsp. and used "L.B. Jamisons'" beef flavored soup base, which is what I sub for beef bouillon and they turned out fantastic! I also took the advice of "Wimsey" and carmelized onions and some baby portabellas before browning the chops. If I had the energy, I would have made a gravy with the extra "broth"....maybe next time. Thanks for the great recipe Tiffany!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
Ohh this was tasty. Hub likes bone in chix, so I used legs for him (which I put in the oven 25 minutes before) and tenders (20 min) for the spawn and myself. I cheated and used jarred minced garlic which I mixed in with the bread crumb/parm cheese mixture and added salt, pepper, paprika & onion powder to it as well. The chicken was soooooo tender and juicy. Thanks for the easy & tasty recipe Carol!

This IS awesome....I was a little skeptical about the nutmeg, but it turned out great! I used egg beaters and also added a chopped roma tomato. Ate it with a 1/2 whole wheat bagle.....Great way to start the day, thanks Holly!
