Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was very good. The chicken came out nice and tender. I probably could have used 1/2 since I had about half the chicken but with the rice was a nice flavor blend. I used sweet baby ray's honey bbq sauce.

Mondi's Super Simple Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This was very good but we don't eat the chicken skin and that is where all the seasoning is. I wonder if it would be good lifting the skin and seasoning underneath it. I know the skin helps to keep the chicken moist and it was very moist. Where I got flavoring it was very good, just didn't get quite enough. Mostly just moist chicken.

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
When I made this it came out very watery and although the apples were sliced thin, not all cooked through. The only part that looked ok was the topping. I prefer a more chewy topping though, which this is not.

Peanut Butter Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
This was good, nothing fantastic. I used bread flour and amaranth and it came out in a nice consistency and very moist. I rounded my measure of peanut butter after reading the reviews. This bread sliced very easily. It was firm enough that I could slice thin slices.

Sun Dried Tomato and Asiago Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
This looked really small cooking and I was concerned that the 1teaspoon of yeast was not enough. It seemed to brown more on top as well. I had no reason to be concerned. I brushed butter on the outside like I always do and cut it still warm. It is soft tender and wonderful tasting with a hint of sweetness. I ended up ordering amaranth flour because I could not find it locally. I used sun dried tomatoes in olive oil and just minced them without rinsing. This was great. I can see where it would make nice rolls or breadsticks.

Light Oat Bread

I have to agree this is one of the best breads I have made. It is moist and has a good taste. I used bread flour instead of all purpose.

This was very good. I did not broil it because I had not printed out the tips but the part that crisped up in the pan in baking were wonderful.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
I also cut back on the butter and melted it, drizzling it over before cooking. I had chicken tenders and they were cooked just right in 30 minutes. I turned them over in the last 6 minutes.

Onion, Garlic, Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
I followed the directions but this came out terrible. My yeast is new but it did not rise. It was grainy and flat. The dog liked it.

Laurie's Cheesy Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I liked the pasta and sauce much more than I thought but the kielbasa tasted out of place. I had browned it in garlic and had to keep my husband from eating it as I waited for the pasta to cook. He didn't like it as much in the pasta. I think I might try it with chicken. Would be easy with the pre-cooked grilled chicken. This would make a good dish for leftover turkey. I also used cavatappi pasta as I couldn't imagine it with spaghetti. I sprinked some dried onion in with the soup mixture as well.

Hamburger Hash

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
It was pretty good. I did add corn and some worcestershire sauce. Maybe not enough because it was still a little bland. I served it with shredded cheddar also. I also stirred in browning sauce with cornstarch to make gravy because I still had a lot of liquid after the 30 minutes. It is reminiscent of shepherds pie but easier.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
The batter was a little thick and difficult to get the pancakes cooked through but they had a nice taste. Nice for a change.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2003
I think the amount of chicken called for here would be a lot. I used one left over chicken breast. I also wasn't sure how much we would like the blue cheese, especially my picky family, so I used half blue cheese and sauce on the other half of the pizza. My husband actually preferred the blue cheese side

Beef Potato House Pie Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2002
My husband said it tastes better than it looks! My daughter loved the cheese. I put cheese on top of the hamburg layers inside too. It would be good with corn mixed in too.
