This recipe is amazing, however, I believe the salty problem may be from the use of garlic SALT instead of fresh garlic or garlic powder. I prefer to use the fresh or minced garlic (store bought). I also omitted the salt from the mixture as an additive. I didn't have any salt problem with mine after these changes. I live for an amazing dinner of fettucine alfredo but I also 'love' garlic in my food, so chose to include it as well as others. Thanks for the information on the original fettucine recipe Erinmarie, it was very much appreciated.
