About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom to one little boy. I am a pretty notice baker/cooker and honestly didn't really get into cooking and baking until I was pregnant with my son and home full time. I absolutely love it now though!! Trying to juggle a new baby and trying new things in the kitchen has been interesting... but I am getting the hang of it :-)
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, pastas, slow cooker meals, baked meals, ETC!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Honestly I am one of the only cooks in the family. No one really taught be how to cook per-say. The "creativeness" I got from my mother though! She has it in the craft room... but I have it in the kitchen. :-)
My cooking triumphs
Forcing my self to try new things! It seemed once I broke away from the mold lots of the first things I tried were a huge bust... but once I got the hang of it and being CREATIVE with my cooking... I have been full speed ahead.
My cooking tragedies
Oh who hasn't had the typical "forgot an ingredient" or "forgot a step" moment! I have also walked off and forgot something in the oven before... WHOOPS! :-P

My-Hop Pancakes
Absolutely disgusting. All you taste is baking soda! Yeah they are fluffy and LOOK delicious. One bite tell you otherwise. Definitely won't ever be trying this recipe again. EVER

Sweet and Sour Chicken I
Absolutely love this recipe!!! Delicious!! I added green onions and red peppers for more color and taste. I cooked the peppers and onions in olive oil for 5 minutes before adding them. I also added a little garlic powder to the batter and to the sauce. Oh and I didn't have any orange food coloring... so I used yellow :-) YUM!

Mozzarella Chicken
This was AWES OME!!!! YUM YUM YUM! I did cut everything in half because it was only my husband and I eating. I DID NOT cut the sauce in half though... So glad I didn't... the sauce was awesome! I also cooked the chicken for 15 minutes covered with foil, added the sauce, and then cooked for another 30 minutes uncovered. So glad I did! The sauce was already starting to "brown" on the sides of the dish from it over cooking. This was seriously restaurant quality!!!! YUM YUM YUM!
