Creamy Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Really good! I made this for my kids after our local Christmas parade. I think some people are mistaking evaporated milk for sweetened condensed, which is what the recipe called for. I also used more liquid than called for, about 8 cups total, half milk and half water. I was also about 1/4 short on cocoa powder and so I used some milk chocolate chips. Didn't have the gritty-ness others mentioned but I also used a whisk. Served it with whipped cream-heavenly.

Alfredo Sauce

Really good sauce but if you have left overs, DO NOT put it on the psat to store. reheated it becomes grainy - it is authentic though, so that's what you get. Store it seperately.

LOVE this recipe! Super easy and very authentic. Most people will have the ingredients in their pantry already too- add fresh squeezed lemon juice, gives it a nice perky flavor- My husband loves it too.

Butterscotch Oatmeal

I liked this- my kids didn't. It was really thick and had a good flavor but I guess they prefer cinnamon, milk and sugar. It was kinda rich too.

Rhubarb Cheesecake Dream Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
I tried this recipe after my friend, Diana, suggested it to me. It is awesome. I did make a few alterations, though. I doubled the crust for a 13x9 in pan and added about 1/4 cup sugar instead of the 2 tsp- wasn't nearly sweet enough. I also used powdered sugar for the cream cheese layer and sour cream layer. Used 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 vanilla yogurt, only bc I ran out of sour cream. Added vanilla to the cream cheese per Diana's instruction- gave it more depth. Also, because I doubled the crust, I baked it a little longer too. really good recipe- I suggest you try it today!

Brown Butter Cookies

Awesome cookie- the only thing I changed was I didn't frost the cookies- they were great on their own- plus I could use less butter that way.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Apples were mushy and bland, Way too much cinnamon- my tongue is numb from all of the cinnamon... Forced my 4 kids to eat it... Definitely not sweet enough either, even after adding brown sugar... just not good... won't be making this again.

Really Good! I increased the oats and flour by half and used 2 cans of pie filling. The cinnamon was a nice addition to the crust part. Would make again- quick, simple.

I really liked this. I didn't have any plain yogurt so I used strawberry and it was really good! My 3 yr old and 10 mo. old loved it as well. Nutritional AND tasty!
