Monte Cristo Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
This is a family favorite. I worked 2nd shift and made a bunch of them and put them on a cookie sheets so that they could warm them up right before they ate them. There were none left for me when I got home from work! I think the problem that people were having with them being soggy is because they were trying to cook them too quickly. It is basically french toast. If you cooked french toast at too high a temp it would also be browned to fast and soggy. Turn your heat down and cook them slower. The cheese meltinf should make them stay together. This is a great treat that you can make ahead.

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2005
I have been making this meatloaf for years but without the bacon, MSG or tomato sauce. I have tried other recipes that were much more complicated and my husband always says go back to the original one. I also use 4Cs seasoned breadcrumbs. I cook it a little longer too. That firms it up. I usually double the recipe and use 1 pound of ground pork and three pounds of Ground round.

Eric's Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2004
I made some changes. I can't have spices so I left off the cajun season and ground cayenne pepper. I didn't have any mushrooms so they were left off too. But the chicken came out DELICIOUS. I agree about cutting down on the butter and I would maybe add more cracker crumbs to make it a little crispier. The sauce that it makes is wonderful. My daughter who eats like a bird, had two helpings. I served it with rice.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2004
We don't care for mushrooms so I substituted 2 cans of cream of celery soup and omitted the mushrooms . I also used dehydrated onion because I didn't have a fresh onion and it was delicious. A family favorite. Real comfort food.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2003
This is one of my family's favorites. I always have to double the recipe. My kids will even eat it cold! My daughter claims she put on 10 pounds over the holidays just from the corn casserole. It has replaced green bean casserole as the favorite side dish.

My family absolutely loved this receipe. I made extra sauce and actually poured it over the salmon. My son said it was better than any Salmon he had ever had at a restaurant.
