Banana Milk Drink

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2012
I really enjoyed this one. It takes 2 relatively boring ingredients (milk and banana) and bring them together to create a full delicious flavor. Don't skip on the cinnamon, because the cinnamony aroma definitely adds to the experience of drinking it. Only change I made is adding a handful of ice cubes.

This has become a family favorite. I skip the onion and find that works well for us.

Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche

I really enjoyed this one. I did add extra cheese on top after it came out of the oven. Definitely needs a deep dish crust.

Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
Love this one! I took the advise of a reviewer and use turkey. The only problem I have with this one is that the meat all comes out in one bite, so maybe a shredded meat would work best.

Taco Bake II

My husband said this one was a keeper. Used Stadium Nacho Doritos, because that is what we had and it was a nice touch.

Pumpkin Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
LOVE THIS! Got compliments from my husband, mom, and even mother in law. Way better than pumpkin pie! I used 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 baking powder with all purpose flour in replace of self rising flour.

Major disappointment times 2. (Since I have 2 pies I'm not impressed with). Very Bland. Needs more sugar.

Beans and Franks Applesauce Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
This one has too much going on in it. The cheese and mustard flavors seemed out of place. Applesauce made it runny. Son picked out hot dogs and husband could hardly eat.

Beefy Barbecue Macaroni

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
I made a lot of additions to this one if efforts to make enough to freeze for later and add veges. I used 4 cups pasta, added about a 2 cups of frozen corn, half a green pepper, a can of kidney beans, and a can of mushrooms. (pretty much whatever I had on hand that sounded good.) I loved it! And it did make enough to freeze for a the guys when I have to work. I used a honey barbecue sauce. I liked the sweetness, but my husband very politely suggested a different type of sauce for next time.

2-Step Beefy Taco Joes

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
I added taco seasoning, chili powder, and cumin, and green pepper. Next time I will not do the extra chili powder and cumin. A little spicy for my taste. The taco seasoning is a must.

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
We really liked this one. I prepared the casserole during the kids' nap time and put it in the refrigerator until my husband was on his way home. It worked out great and it was very tasty. Didn't change anything.

Pineapple Crisp

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Not real impressed....The egg was not enough to make the dry ingredients become smooth. Seemed like a lot of cinnamon. Easier and tastier to just use a cake mix to make a cobbler.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
I don't even usually like banana bread and I love this! I made muffins for breakfast or snacks on the go. Baked at 350 for 22 minutes. I used a med cookies scoop. They came out like 18 mini muffins, which I like. I also used Splenda instead of sugar. Super easy, super yummy, your going to love it!

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I followed the suggestion of using 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon vanilla and no clove. ( I didn't have clove so I thought this was a good choice.) I also didn't have loaf pans so I used muffin tins and baked at 350 for 25 minutes as suggested. I got 3 dozen but they were a little small. I used a med cookie scoop. Next time I will use a large cookie scoop. I generously sprayed the muffin tin and didn't use wrappers. They popped right out. Overall, I think this is great and I will make it again. I have had moister pumpkin bread before but the changes I made may have effected the moistness so I am not holding that against the recipe. Very good! Going to bring a batch to church to share.

This one REALLY surprised us. We made it lactose free using soy milk and daiya cheese substitute. Only had a cup of green onion, but work out fine. My husband wants me to make this one for the next church carry in.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
I was very impressed with how this came out. I have never used a "recipe" to make french toast, but I will now always use this one. The only change I made was adding 2 extra eggs after I tasted the first piece. Try this one, I think you will be pleasantly pleased.

Corn Souffle

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I goofed and used 3 cans of creamed corn and 1 whole kernel. It still came out good. My husband was very impressed. We are considering taking this for church carry ins. Prep is super easy, just open the cans and allow time to bake. It is like a vege dessert, who knew it was possible! :)
