My favorite things to cook
Well I am a Southern Girl/ Native Texan to be exact... So all of Meat and Tators you can make is what I grew up ON.. and Lots of Fresh Veggies! So typical meal would be: Creamed Tators, Fried Chicken, Fried Okra and some cornbread with maybe Asparagus or Corn or Green beans! Dessert could be anything or Nothing much... or could be the RICH Banana Pudding my Grandmother always made I will post the Recipe soon!!!! I love chicken anyway you can make it... I love to coat mine with some Hellman's Mayo then sprinkle or roll the chicken in Seasoned bread crumbs My 14 yr old son lovesssssssssss it.... OR Leg Quarters in a deep pan ( stir together some mayo and 2 cans of cream soups like cream of celery & mushroom or cream of chicken ) and pour over the chicken cook on 350 cover with foil and YUM YUM nice and TENDER!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well for me YOU can have Mashed tators or Creamed tators ( difference is using a masher or using your eletric beater ) well CREAMED to me is Tradition!! and so so YUMMY... Fried Okra, Cornbread ( thats a staple ), Greens, BBQ chicken on grill, Home made burgers, Tex Mex things like Enchiladas, Fried Chicken of course, Zesty Meatloaf, Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, and MY all time FAV is Chicken Fried Steak!!! Tradition for Holidays would be a Turkey and Southern Style Dressing, Sausage Balls my grandmother always made, Lil smokies in BBQ sauce, Wish I could bake and cook like my grandmother she would make divinity, fudge, chocolate pies, sweet tator pies, pumpkin pies, quiches, Peanut Brittle, Cheese Balls, and so much more!!!! I miss those times!

Mom's Hot Mexican Salad
This is the closest Tex/Mex Taco Salad recipe I could find to my Grandmothers: We/She used Nacho Cheese Doritos crumbled instead of corn chips and added French Dressing enough for taste and always had some kind of beans in it Kidney or Pinto .... The texture was always so wonderful and the TASTE WOW! was made a couple times a week when I was growing up I am 44 so there ya go! Great recipe
