Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
So yummy!!! The only change I made was that I only put a teaspoon of cinnamon because I don't really like a lot of cinnamon mixed with blueberries. I love how it made a crust around the outside! Awesome recipe!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
Awesome recipe! I've made many pancake recipes and could never get "fluffy" pancakes, but this recipe gave my the "fluffy" I was looking for! I've made the recipe as is, and the last time I made it I added blueberries. GREAT!!!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
Awesome! I followed the recipe exactly (except made muffins-baked for about 15 minutes) and I had to wait for my husband's seal of approval before I could rate this, but he said that they were "Gooooooood!" I did have to make my own buttermilk because I forgot to get it at the store but again these were great.

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I love this recipe! I love these kind of cake recipes because they are so easy and so yummy! I did a few things differently-I didn't use the sweetened condensed milk because I don't think it needs it. For the topping I mixed the whipped cream with coconut cream pudding (that I made only using 1 cup of milk instead of 2) and then sprinkled more coconut on top like the recipe says. Soooo good! I think the longer it sits the better because the flavors come together!

Cheesy Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
This rating is based on changes that I made but that is why I love this site! The reviews are so helpful in making the recipe to your own taste! With that being said, after reading the reviews, I used 1/2 water and 1/2 chicken broth, salted butter (will use unsalted next time), added garlic salt and pepper, I also fried about 10 pieces of bacon and added that, and used the small package of velveeta. I did not use the parsley. YUM

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
Very tasty rice! I liked this much better than the local chinese restaurant's. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of five stars is because it does not need that much pepper, it's just too much kick for me. I should have read other reviews before making the recipe, but didn't have much time otherwise I would have known not to put that much pepper in. And, make sure that you use "cold" recipe as the recipe states-it totally makes a difference. I

Apple Harvest Pound Cake with Caramel Glaze

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
This recipe was really good. I did use half brown and half white sugar and doubled the cinnamon per the other reviews. The cake is so moist and has great taste, I just wish the apples didn't get lost in the taste. I used Jonathan apples thinking that you would be able to taste them more, but they didn't really stand out. This was a really good spice cake though!

Rhubarb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
I did not care for this recipe for a few reasons. The rhubarb was crunchy in this dessert because it was not baked long enough and I didn't think there was enough sugar. The topping really didn't do a whole for me either...could of left it off. It wasn't the worst, but just wasn't my kind of cheesecake. I was dissapointed because I love rhubarb. Maybe I need to try it again with some tweeks!

Yum! I am always looking for different types of recipes to use with rhubarb and this is a great one! I followed the recipe for the most part but used 3 cups of rhubarb and 2 percent milk and but was still really good. Would definitely make again!

Dawn's Easy Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
These were awesome! I did not use the bourban or the coconut or pecans (but will try those two next time) and they were fabulous! I made some bigger in size and some smaller because they are very rich. I kept them in the refrigerator and the cookies got nice and soft and I thought they tasted better the second day! Yum!

Cake Balls

Easy and tastes great! I made red velvet, cream cheese frosting and white chocolate almond bark. Soooo good, and I like the way you can make so many different combinations with this. I will make these over and over and they are such a hit at parties!

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
These were very good and moist! I agree with other reviews that the batter needs some cinnamon. The topping is awesome! Watch your bake time-mine only took about 20 minutes but I know every oven is different. Will make again!

awesome recipe. I also made my own glaze as I do not think the stuff in the store has any flavor to it.

Pancakes I

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
I thought these were great. Easy to remember and I had no problem with them fluffing up. I always let my waffle and pancake batters sit for about 5 minutes before I put them on the griddle. I haven't tried any additions to the recipe, but I think it would be easy to do.

Blueberry Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
I can't honestly rate this recipe as is because I changed it...but wanted to share what I changed. I made this recipe the same except I used almond extract instead of vanilla. I did not use the sugar coating on the pan, instead I made an almond sugar glaze....1 1/2 c powdered sugar, 3/4 tsp almond extract and 6 tsp. water. I poured that over the top once the cake was cooled and waited 15 minutes for it to set. It was fantastic! I have no doubt this recipe would have been great as is though but didn't want to upset anyone by rating the recipe as is when i didn't use it that way.
