About this Cook
Live in MW Ontario with my husband and 14 yr old son. I love to cook but am usually afraid of trying something new.
My favorite things to cook
Love to bake. After years of trying, I'm proud to say that I have mastered the perfect pie dough.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My parents came to Canada from Holland in the 50's. I love making some of the recipes my Mom brought from Holland. Specculas (a spice cookie) is one of my faves.
My cooking triumphs
When I finally mangaged to make a tender and flakey pie crust. My Mom showed me many times but I simply could not make it that way. Eventually found "my" way.
My cooking tragedies
NOt just cooking tragedies but also regrets... All those times my husband felt obligated to eat pies when the crust was tougher than leather. lol

So easy to make and my family loved it. Doubled the recipe to share with friends over the Christmas holidays. Thanks so much for sharing this one!

Creamy Taco Unstuffed Shells
This recipe is in my "keeper" file. A definite hit with my family and our Brazilian exchange student! I didn't have zucchini but added black beans as suggested. Thanks SO much for this one. A big hit!

Vanilla Wafer Cookies That Are Better Than Storebought
Love these cookies! They turned out very well. Even Hubby and 17 yr old son loved them. That's saying something since they usually don't eat a cookie unless it has choc chips in it. :) A definite keeper. thanks so much for sharing!
