Chicken on a Stick

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
Follow the recipe, but go a little further & add either some Fresh or canned chunks of Pineapple. You can also add some grape Tomato's & you can wrap your chicken pieces in Bacon! This is a Great Recipe.

Angel Biscuits I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2013
I have made these twice now & they are FABULOUS! I put ham in them the 1st time & then bacon the 2nd time. They were both good. Of course, I had them with a meal 1st & left-overs were with the ham & bacon the next morning. I have not had any problems with this recipe. I put them in a pre-heated oven to 200 degrees & cut the oven off when I put them in the oven for the hour. They rose just fine & were light & fluffy. I will make these again & again.

Angel Biscuits II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
These biscuits were amazing! I am SO Glad I gave them a try. I was worried about finding a "warm" non-drafty place to put them & preheated the oven on warm" & turned it off & it worked out great. These were light & fluffy. I will make these again for sure! Thanks for a great recipe!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
I read a lot of the Reviews & adjusted the recipe as followed: I only used 1 1/2 sticks of Butter & followed the rest of the bottom ingredients to make the crust. I DID put in the frig. for aprox 30 min. based on what others said. I did also increase the chocolate to 2 cups of chips (you can also use "chunks") & 5 TBSP of PB melted together, I did this in a double boiler & then poured it over the "crust" mixture. Then put back in the frig for another couple of hours. They ARE Fabulous! My entire family loved them, already getting requests to make them again! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2013
This is probably one of THE best meatloaf recipes I've EVER fixed for my Family. I did make a few small changes by adding 1/4 cup EACH of both Red & Green Bell Pepper & I made a "Glaze" of 1/2 Cup EACH of Brown Sugar=pressed in bottom of loaf pan & then Ketchup on top of that. Otherwise I followed the Recipe. My youngest son NEVER liked meatloaf, BUT he loved this one & asked for seconds! Needless to say, there were NO leftovers...They're already asking for another one! Thanks Connie for a fabulous meatloaf recipe!

Minnesota Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
What a Treat, BUT I DID make some changes. I used Minute Rice=way less cooking time! I also Made a Gravy: 1-Beef Broth, 1-Cream of Mushroom Soup, 1 jar Pork Gravy (ready made) & from a Brown Gravy MIX-1 Cup prepared per pkg. adding some ground Thyme & Sage to flavor a little. I browned my chops in a enough Peanut Oil to cover the bottom & I also seasoned them with garlic powder along w/salt & pepper. I reserved 1/2 C of the dripping to add to my "Gravy mixture" really making it like homemade gravy!! Follwed the rest of the directions, other than I started with a little gravy on the bottom of the well-sprayed dish before putting Minute Rice in dish. Did all the rest & covered & Baked for 45-50 mintues!! Delish!! We ate EVERY drop!! I WILL make this again, My Way!! Thanks So much for sharing your ideas, I was needing something different with Pork Chops & rice!!

Beef Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
This was the BEST soup Recipe I've ever tried! We Loved the Sweet Basil & Oregano!! What a great flavor! Even my 2 fussy boys LOVED it!! I had a few changes by adding 1/2 of a 9 oz bag of Mixed Veggies & I used 2 lbs of Stew Beef Meat, sliced thin. I added this to Step 1 & only cooked the Onion & Celery with the Beef. Followed the rest of the Recipe & added the 1/2 bag of Mixed in Step 2. Will deffinately make this again!!

Mom's Easy Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
This was the closest to my Mom's Recipe that I could find. The only thing she did different was she'd start in a frying pan with the butter & melt over med heat, then she'd had the chopped/shredded beef, then she'd add the flour & kind of coat the pieces of beef in the flour. After a "Roux" was kind of made, then she'd gradually add the milk & stir until no lumps were there. Then she'd add the salt (easy) & pepper to taste. Cut the heat up a little til it got thick & bubbly & then serve it over plain toast. Yuuummyy!! Makes me want some NOW!!

Snow Ice Cream I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This was like my Mom used to make for me when I was just a child!! I mixed the eggs w/an electric mixer 1st, then I added the rest of the ingred. & mixed til blended well. I used 2% milk. Then I slowly added the snow & just blended/mixed/ & stirred til it was like a Slurpee. It was great!! Just the way I remembered it!! Now I make it for my kids & they LOVE it too!! Thanks for sharing your recipe. My Mom always said the snow was cold enough to "cook" the eggs. Don't know, but we Never got sick from it. It was just too good not to eat it!!
