Curly-Q Grilled Sausages

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2014
I made this recipe exactly as it was posted and we loved it. This time we did it even better. We actually got the BBQ sauce to carmelize, toasted the buns and had warmed saurkraut on the side with fresh green beans. I could have eaten two of these!!!!!

Baked Flan

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
I was very pleased with how this recipes ultimately turned out. I heated the casserole I was pouring the carmelized sugar in, but it still hardened immediately. I let it cool then proceeded pouring over the eggs, creams, etc. Baked in a water bath and it turned out beautifully. I made one small individual one as I had some left over. We loved it. The hardened carmelized sugar just distributed itself across the bottom as it cooked.

Spicy Sweet Potato Chips

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
Awesome! I misjudged the amount of sweet potatoes in 3 large as I had one huge one. I could have made double the amount of potatoes, but we both absolutely loved it. They took longer that the time posted, but my oven is iffy so no big deal. Will I make these again. Yes!!!! I did use sea salt instead of regular salt. Enjoy

Truly Delicious Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
I hate brussels sprouts, but I absolutely loved these. Followed the recipe exactly, until it came to the fresh lemon. I only had limes, so I used half a lime. My husband couldn't believe how good they were. I don't know how many people the recipes was supposed to feed, but two of us devoured them.

Apple Bacon Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
This is the most awesome soup I have ever made. Every spoonful was a wonderful surprise. The only change I made was to saute the onion, garlic and celery in one tablespoon of grease that I saved from cooking the bacon. I'm sorry but; two seniors ate the whole thing, along with some garlic bread. I cannot believe the flavour, so you just keep eating more and more! We loved it. Next time I will have to double it if we are having guests.

Cindy's Country Style Creole Pork Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
We loved this recipe. Like everyone else I made a few small changes. I prepared the roast early a.m., covered and refrigerated to let it absorb the spices. I omitted the 1/3 c bacon grease, as the roast had a layer of pork fat on it. The meat was moist and there was lots of gravy. Definitely a keeper.
