Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
One of my favorite recipes. Served as a main dish for a BBQ or chilled on a salad. My family loves it. Thanks for posting it.

Heather's Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
I cut the soy sauce down to 2 Tbs, next time will try 1 1/2 tbs just to tweak it to taste. Great for salmon, grilled or broiled, and it tasted great the 2nd day when served cold in a salad. Thanks for posting it.

Made as written. Great recipe, even for an amateur like me.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
I used sweet Italian Sausage without casing. Did not have the same vegetables, just used whatever that was on hand and it still came out good. Nice simple recipe. The Parmesan cheese and fresh basil is a must. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Easy Maple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
I used very thin chops and was glad I did. I don't think the flavor would soak through if thicker. A fast recipe for after work, served on just plain white rice. The recipe gave a bit of sweet thin gravy for the rice and balanced it out. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Osso Buco

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
I made it as written except I used beef as veal shank was not available. For the first try, it was pretty good. I will continue to look around for more Osso Buco recipe to try but will definitely keep this one.

Vietnamese Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
A couple of things on the fish sauce that my mom taught me as I grew up in the US: 1) the brand of the fish sauce makes a difference, good ones are milder in the "fish" flavor and not as quite as salty; 2) while they last a while, if kept too long, it gets a very strong flavor. Much better when fresh. Unfortunately as a little goes a long way, it usually takes me months to go through half a bottle but mom is right so I usually buy the smallest bottle I can find and keep them for only a month or two. I also cut down on the amount in this recipe to 2 tbs.

Margarita Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
I made this recipe exactly as written, marinated the shrimp for almost 8 hours. It's ok but a little bland for my taste. Next time I'll try it with pepper flakes.

Pork Marsala

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
Excellent recipe. Not being a big fan of pork, it took me a while to try it. I made it exactly as it's written but with double the ingredients, using portabello for mushrooms. It was so good I immediately have requests for a repeat.

I've tried this with every jam and fruit preserves available around the house, doubled the "sauce" and it came out good every time. Love it. Thanks.

Ziti with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I used sweet italian sausage to give it a different taste, doubled the tomato sauce, cut the baking time down to 25 minutes. The dish still came out slightly dryish but still very good.
