Baked Honey Nut Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2003
This is a wonderful recipe. IO'm definately going to make it again. The only change I would add would be to lightly grease the pan or use Pam. Because of the honey in the recipe it really stickes to the pan.

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
This tasted wonderful however I agree with 2 other reviewers about there not being enough liquid. I would suggest adding another half of the liquid part and mixing it all up in a bowl before putting it in the baking dish. I think this would help get the bread pieces a little less dry.

Sue's Oatmeal Macadamia Nut Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2003
This is actually my recipe and it just dawned on me that I should have listed the size of eggs that I used for this recipe. This may be the reason that one reviewer had some difficulty with crumbling. I use 2 Extra Large eggs for this recipe.

Creole Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: May 5, 2002
This dish is wonderful. Great for company but you'd better make extra because there will be no leftovers.

Anise Biscotti

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
This is absolutely the very best Biscotti recipe. I made it exactly as written and I get raves. I can't keep them around and coffee shops want them. I'm going to try them with Kahlua instead of brandy to see if I get more of a coffee flavor but that's just for variety.

Praline French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I made this for my family this weekend and it was a huge success. There was none left. The only thing I did differently was that after I poured the egg mixture over the bread I then turned the bread over to make sure that both sides were fully coated with the egg mixture. I'm going to make it again for Christmas Day. Thanks for this fabulous recipe.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I was very disappointed in this recipe given how many rave reviews there were. I use the anise almond biscotti recipe on this website that uses butter and just added pistachios & cranberries instead of almonds and anise seed. Works perfectly and tastes great!

Chocolate Frosting II

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
Excellent recipe but to frost a cake you need to double it.

Chocolate Ganache Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This is a wonderful recipe. I've used it several times with the black bottom cupcake recipe and also with Sandy's chocolate cake (baked as a sheet cake)recipe both on this website. Let it cool well before using because it runs more when it's still warm.

Pecan Pie Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
This is a wonderful recipe. As others stated it is gooey and somewhat difficult to serve. I also had a difficult time finding the cake mix. I used Betty Crocker Butter Pecan Cake Mix.

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2003
This cake was incredible. I took it to a party and was beseiged by recipe requests. I used another reviewers advice about using coffee instead of water. Next time I'll try the whiskey. I left out the chips. Sometimes you can get just too much chocolate.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
This is an excellent soup. After making it and letting it cook a full day I tasted it. It seemed to lack something so I added 1/2 can of tomato paste to it to strengthen the tomato taste and now it's perfect. We couldn't get enough of this wonderful recipe.

Pecan Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
Why only 5 stars??? This is a wonderful recipe. I used others suggestions to not use papers in my muffin pan. I used Pam & dusted with sugar. I made some this morning to take to work and they were gone as soon as I entered the office. I wouldn't change a thing. If you made them as full size muffins they might be too rich. With the mini muffin size you can almost pretend that there are no calories...almost!

Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
This was wonderful however after trying it the first time I realized that there wasn't enough of the toffee topping so increased the amount by 1/2 the next time and they were terrific. I also found that if I separated them before they hardened I was able to maintain the nice neat square shape. Everyone raved about this recipe and asked for copies so it tasted great.

Coffee Smoother

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Too much cinnamon. It might be a typo because 1 tablespoon is a lot of cinnamon for a single serving. Also not as strong a coffee flavor as I would have thought. Maybe use espresso. Won't make this again.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
This is a wonderful recipe. I followed the instructions to the letter including adding the chopped peanuts (rather than using chunky like others suggested). Jackie is correct when she recommends that you NOT overbake these cookies. I accidentally left a sheet in the oven a little longer and they were pretty dry.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This is a wonderful recipe. Such good flavor. The only problem is that my slow cooker is too small so I baked the ribs in the oven at 200 degrees for the same amount of time. Finger-lickin good!!!
