I'm a married mother of two growing boys and I like cooking and baking. I'm fearless in the kitchen. Hey, if it doesn't work out, just make something else, right? In addition to cooking, I also write, design jewelry and act.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken. It's SOOOO versatile. You can have it every night! I also like Pasta dishes and I LOVE to bake treats and breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Only "tradition" we have is making homemade gravy (red gravy---what others call "Pasta Sauce.") I have never served jarred "sauce" to anyone. Another tradition we have is a huge Christmas Eve open House: Italians celebrate Christmas Eve more than Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
Baklava (It's Greek, but I rock it), Italian Egg Biscuits, assorted cookies, Chicken Piccata,stuffed shells, quiche.
My cooking tragedies
I have three: My First meatloaf. Had a shell from adding too many breadcrumbs; a pasta primavera made to recipe, I found on the back of a pasta box. It was AWFUL! And a sweet and sour Chicken that was just gaaaak.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
Because the dough was sticky, I added a skosh more flour...less than 1/4 cup. Other than that, followed exactly. Baked 8 minutes precisely. They're insanely good!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
I add sage and rosemary to this and use whatever dough I have on hand (Pillsbury). Also, I add Chicken broth (to better cook the dumplings). Served over mashed potatoes, this always gets raves
