Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
I was so looking forward to this being a great recipe.... it was very very disappointing... i had fresh yeast and all the exact ingredients...they were not crisp and light...maybe it was my waffle iron, as it is brand new... but... i won't waste all this ingredients and the time it took to prepare on this recipe again... sorry

Brazil Nut Fruitcake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
excellent! we chopped the nuts to make it easier to cut later. i made it twice and varied the fruits and nuts keeping the pound amounts the same.... we loved that the cake only held the nuts and fruit in place.... will make again and again. thanks.

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This is so easy, don't doubt it. I made it with oil and without and it works both ways. I always have unpopped kernels but i would rather have them, then burnt popcorn. it is great, easy, healthy and cheap! that's tough to beat. I use the butter flavored spray release and I got great seasonings through kernelseasons.com -they carry lots more then you will find at the grocery store. enjoy! i have used this idea and turned it into a gift basket...i got cute lunch bags, a big bowl, seasonings and butter release spray and a bag or jar of popcorn. i typed up the instructions and gave them all as gifts last year....now my whole office knows how to make it.... this is really a great recipe. thanks again Acontorer!!!

Italian Cream Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
we loved it! I ground 1+1/2 c pecans all in the cake, used butter instead of shortening or margarine...and my icing, was 2 sticks butter, 1 lg cream cheese and 6 cups of poweder sugar, 1+1/2 t vanilla.... the rest i followed. i didn't have the pans so i did a big bundt cake pan and a little one.. 50 minutes for the big one and 32 for the smaller one.... it is a keeper recipe!

Luscious Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I have made this cake 7 times now... i get the best response every time....however i will never BOIL the syrup....if you do and it gets into a candy stage is could seal your cake to the pan...and like me you will have to claw the cake out of the pan....still tastes great....but won't come away from the pan.... so just blend the powder sugar with the lemon juice you don't have to heat it to get it to blend.... and i put sugar on the pan instead of flouring it.....and it makes a slight crunchiness to the outside everyone loves... it's a keeper recipes thats for sure!!! thank you.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Excellent. i have made this probably 8 times by now. it works great. definitely chill between layers. i have also made it with Jello cook lemon pie filling instead of the strawberry layer. not lemon jello. just follow the box instructions. i use the 2 cups pretzels, 3/4 c butter and 1/2 c brown sugar. it is requested as a birthday cake! thanks for the recipe!!!

Valentine Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
it was probably me...... i used my bread machine...but it was a sticky dough. it only made two pizzas 10 inches across. i added the 1/4 cup of flax seed like someone else suggested. and 1 tsp sugar for the yeast. so that could have been the problem. loved the rosemary!! however it tasted good, just wasn't the quantity i expected and it was thin. i cooked one on a pizza stone and it cooked very fast and did not need 20 minutes. the other one wasn't done at 20 minutes. i will try again. I liked making my own crust and sauce which i found an easy recipe here as well.
