Cream of Cauliflower Soup II

This soup tastes good. I did use hazelnut liqueur instead of sherry. I also just used a potato masher instead of a blender which left the soup a bit more chunky. When the soup was boiling at the end, I added about 1 T corn starch mixed in about 2 T cold water to the soup and let it come to a boil again. It thickened the soup a bit. I'll make it again.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I made this today as I was home from work because of the BIG BLIZZARD of 2011. Only changes I made was to remove some of the cooking water from the potato mixture and add it back into the white sauce a bit at a time so it wasn't too thin a soup. Also, I added frozen crinkle cut carrots to the potato mixture as we love carrots here. Served it with oatmeal bread rolls. It's a keeper.
