Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
These were delicious. Loved the flavor and after marinating for 2 hours, the flavor was definitely infused in the shrimp. Followed recipe exactly as written, although I didn't put on skewers; just tossed on a grill pan on the BBQ. So simple, yet so tasty! This will go into my rotation!

Brussels Sprouts with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
My husband is not a picky eater, however, he does not care for Bruseels Sprouts. I made this tonight for dinner and he actually went back for seconds! Very tasty. Thanks for the recipe.

Grilled Orange-and-Bourbon Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
Yum!!! My husband is not a huge fan of salmon, but knowing it is so good in omega 3, I try to make it as often as possible. He loved this recipe and actually went back for seconds! This recipe will definitely go into my regular rotation. I followed the recipe exactly, except I didn't have fresh chives and used dried. I reduced the marinade and put some on top of the salmon and brown rice.

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
My husband called from work and asked if I would make turkey burgers for lunch. We make turkey burgers quite often, but thought I would look for a variation. I quickly went to Allrecipes and came across this recipe. I did add the egg and 1/3 cup oatmeal, 1/3 packet onion mix, a little soy, A1, and worchestershire sauce (1 tsp ea), and then topped with white cheddar last minute or so. I then topped with sliced avocado. They were delicious! The secret ingredient is the onion soup mix! Thanks for sharing.

Prize Winning Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
This is the BEST recipe for Baby Backs! I took the advise of another reviewer and kept the grill at 300 degrees (which on my grill was about medium). They turned out so delicious and tender. I am so glad I read the reviews and finally found out how to remove the membrane (super easy using butter knife and paper towel - came off in one piece). My only concern prior to putting on the grill was whether to put the meat side up or down. After looking at other's comments and not finding the answer, I put the meat side up. Not sure if this matters, but they came out perfect. My husband was skeptical when I told him how I was grilling the ribs, but when he took his first bite, he was a believer. This is the only way I'll cook ribs! Thanks for sharing Bonnie.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
This was very good. I did make a few changes. I added fresh green beans, 1/2 cup red wine, 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix, 1/2 pkg. beef stew seasoning, a little thyme, seasoned salt and parsley, and added frozen peas the last hour. My husband loved it! It was a great fall meal.

Salmon with Brown Sugar and Bourbon Glaze

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2002
Absolutely delicious! My husband raved about it! Definitely fit for guests and it tastes like you spent hours on it, but it only takes minutes. I will be making this on a regular basis. This is the best salmon recipe I've ever tried.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2002
My husband is in the strawberry business, so I'm always looking for recipes that include strawberries. This salad is wonderful! We invited another couple over for dinner and I thought I'd try out this recipe. I added sliced red onion, toasted pecans, and gorgonzola cheese. I also used balsamic vinegar for part of the white wine vinegar. I didn't have poppy seeds so I left that out. The couple we invited over for dinner are gourmet cooks, and they said this was the BEST salad they've ever tasted. I will definitely be making this salad on a regular basis!

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2002
My husband is in the strawberry business, so this time of year, I'm always looking for a way to use fresh strawberries. I used applesauce in place of most of the oil, and made muffins. They were very good, and a lot less fattening.
