Family get-togethers! Believe me making a house full of meat-eaters happy on Thanksgiving without a turkey is not easy. But, it's happened!

Ha, ha, ha. Can you say Hemp Dinner Rolls? Don't mix hemp powder and yeast! There's spinach cake that didn't go over so well. Hey...I'm just trying to make cake healthy...

Cream of Celery Soup
Good and easy. But a little bland. I added white wine and that helped. I tried it before I blended the vege's into the broth and it did have a better flavor without the vege's, just so you know. If you keep the vege's you'll want to add more salt. I drzzled olive oil with more white wine when I served. Thanks for the easy recipe! It would be good as an appetizer, but not as a meal.

Beet Salad with Goat Cheese
Excellent use of beets. It makes a very good salad. I did find the "dressing" was too thin and cooked it with corn starch to thicken it. That way it clings to everything better. Yum, yum!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
They are big. I've used higher baking powder to flour ratios before, but never achieved the size of these suckers. Makes me ponder... Anyway, great, easy recipe.
