Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2002
This dressing is addictive! It's absolutely delicious, and makes other storebought dressings seem boring and bland. And it's very easy and foolproof. Great recipe!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2002
This is an absolutely wonderful cinnamon roll recipe! The dough is so easy to work with and rolls out beautifully, and the finished product is tender and delicious. Plus, it's so much quicker and easier than my old recipe. Thanks!!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2002
Wow! This is a wonderful recipe. I have made it twice now, and it was great both times. I did cut the recipe in half, and it was enough for a couple of meals for the two of us. The first time, I used the amount of sour cream called for. The second time, I used half ricotta and half sour cream. They were both good, but it definitely needs some sour cream - it gives it a distinct flavor. This is a good meal for any night, but also would be perfect for company. It's very easy to put together. A lot of the taste of lasagna without all the work. Thanks so much for the recipe!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2002
Great recipe! These rolls are delicious and would go with so many foods - I think I'll make sandwiches with the leftovers tomorrow. I did wind up only cooking them for about 12 minutes, so definitely check them before the full cooking time.

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2002
This is a good, tender bread. It does help to double the topping mix, and layer it with half in the middle of the bread and the rest on top.

Spicy Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2002
This is a great recipe - it's even good if you burn the chicken, which I usually do! Absolutely delicious - perfect spices.

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2002
Maybe I did this wrong, but I didn't like these at all. I didn't like the texture of the dough - it was really difficult to work with. The finished product was okay, but I'm still looking for the perfect tortilla recipe.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2002
This is the easiest recipe, and it's absolutely delicious! I had a 2 1/2 lb roast, so I cut the ingredients in half, and it was enough for two meals for my family. It makes a delicious gravy, and it's great as leftovers. I love that you don't have to brown the roast before slow cooking it - it's just that much faster. This is definitely my new pot roast recipe. Thanks!

Alice's Sour Cream Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2003
This was a good recipe, but with some additions. I added quite a bit of spice - oregano, garlic, cayenne. With those spices, it was really good over egg noodles, and I will make it again. It probably would be pretty bland without more spices.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2003
Wow!!! I'd never made ribs before, and my husband loved these! I cut the sugar in half, and used country style pork spareribs. The sugar in the sauce can burn pretty quickly, so watch them on the grill, and turn and baste often. Very delicious! Thanks for the recipe!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2002
I think the best part of this recipe is how your house smells while the sauce is simmering. Delicious!!! The lasagna is very good; it might need a little bit more sauce. Good recipe for a lasagna that tastes like Grandma's. Thanks!

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2003
Very yummy recipe! I love cilantro, so these were really good. They are quick, easy, and a nice change from the usual enchiladas. I do use corn tortillas, though, because flour tortillas tend to get too gummy for my taste. Thanks for the recipe!

Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2003
Very yummy! I used past suggestions and used 1 egg with enough milk added to make 1 cup, which worked well. The dough was crumbly in the bowl, but came together with a little kneading. Be sure to use chilled butter, which gives it the right texture. This time, I added 2t cinnamon and some cinnamon chips. I'll also try lemon blueberry, and clotted cream with jam. Thanks for the great recipe!

Award Winning Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2003
This is the best chili! I'll keep this recipe handy. I thought it smelled weird at first when I added the wine and steak sauce, but don't worry, it turns out wonderfully! Thanks for the recipe!

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2003
Yummy! This tasted just like the sauce from a restaurant. I made chicken gyros with this sauce and Peppy's Pita Bread - wow! I only used 1 T olive oil, because that's all I had, but I don't think it made a difference. I also added 1/2 of a seeded, finely chopped cucumber. I love this recipe!

Deviled Eggs II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2002
These are really good deviled eggs - I think the vinegar definitely makes them delicious, and I used dijon mustard instead of yellow. They turned out wonderfully, and were the first ones to be finished at our potluck. Thanks!

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2003
This was a great recipe that gave me soft chewy pita bread like we get at a Greek restaurant. I made chicken gyros with them, with tzatziki sauce, and they were amazing. I used 1 1/2 t salt, and you have to watch the cooking time. 4 minutes was perfect - 5 was too long, while it didn't burn them, they did get really crispy. I am going to keep this recipe!

Yummy Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Sooo good! Based on past reviews, I reduced the sugar to 1/2 c each, and the sweetness was just right. I think it would have been too sweet for our taste with the full amount of sugar called for, hence the four stars. I also reduced the boiling water to 1/2 c since I was using frozen berries. It still had plenty of juice, but it wasn't overly runny. I love how the top gets the nice crust, and the dough underneath stays moist. It's a really delicious recipe. Thanks!
