Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2014
Very tender and moist pot roast - no knife needed. I added red pepper flakes, cabbage and some mushrooms since I did not have celery and used 2 cups of chicken broth and water (along with carrots and red potatoes). House smelled wonderful. Easy prep and clean up too. Thank you for this great recipe. Also just served with juice from roasting pan which was delish. Next time will try to make the gravy.

Vegetarian Bibimbap

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
Made this as written except used fresh mushrooms and garlic chili sauce instead of sweet red, and coconut oil instead of sesame (that's what I had). It was very tasty and very spicy since I added lots of chili sauce.

French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
Excellent recipe and easy. I just realized I forgot to add the mustard, in the end....next time. I also had to substitute chicken broth for the beef and I added some mushrooms. Very tasty and easy. I coated the beef with flour as written and browned in vegetable oil before throwing everything in the crock pot as other reviewers suggested. Then cooked about 8 hours on low. Delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Lentils with Tomatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
I followed the recipe but also tips from other reviews and added garlic, cumin and paprika. I also cooked the lentils in a mixture of water and chicken broth. I like vegetables so added half a red onion, one chopped kale leaf, a carrot, one bell pepper and some frozen spinach with a can of stewed tomatoes. My lentils looked mushy but nevertheless the dish was very tasty, delicious.

Albondigas

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
outstanding! I followed the recipe above using beef broth instead of boullion and adding a zucchini and small can of corn as other reviewers suggested. I also bought the lime and fresh cilantro which really makes it, but also ate a few bowls without and it was still outstanding. My picky father and boyfriend loved this soup. Thanks for the recipe!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I followed the directions and found the batter too be way too thick and salty. The pancakes tasted like flour and my boyfriend added water in an attempt to salvage the b breakfast. After reading some of the other reviews my mistake may have been not sifting the ingredients?? Was very disappointed seeing that over 3000 reviewers enjoyed these pancakes immensely.

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
These cookies are easy and delicious. I am not a baker and followed the recipe with these modifications: less sugar as other reviewers suggested -1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup raw sugar. I also used all natural peanut butter and added semi sweet chocolate chips to half the batch. At first I thought the cookies were undercooked, but as another reviewer wrote, the cookies appear undercooked at first (after 10 minutes baking) but are perfect after cooling for 5 minutes. I ended up with about 40 cookies and my boyfriend & I could not stop eating them - YUM!
