About this Cook
I am a mom of 4. I am working on starting my own business, making cakes of all sorts. Crystals custom cakes will be open for business soon.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and decorate cakes, cookies, brownies and such.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My kids help me in the kitchen all the time. My oldest has decided he wants to be a chef when he grows up. He is only 10 and can cook a few meals on his own.

Oven-Roasted Asparagus
My mom made hers like this and my kids loved it. She left it in longer under the broiler to get a crispier texture to them. It really added another dimension to the flavor.

Magic Wands
I do something similar, but I use the candy melts because there are lots of colors and you can layer them. There is so much more you can do with those rather than just icing or chocolate.

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos
Made this in my crock pot. It was wonderful. I grew up in Arizona and we had real Mexican food there, this is the closest I have found. All we use for tacos is onions and fresh cilantro. It even worked great as a taco salad.
