Very quick and easy. Really tasty. Excellent served with a bowl of black bean soup.

Ricotta Gnocchi

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
Simple, but very addictive! Loved these! Dough was more difficult than expected to roll out, but that's alright. Probably best only to make once in a while as a treat anyway; don't want my waistline to expand too much (more). :P

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Excellent! Only change is I'd make more sauce/basting liquid next time. There wasn't much left in the pan to make sauce from afterward. Otherwise, completely excellent and delicious!

Moroccan Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Very tasty. Used the Ras el Hanout spices as recommended by other reviewers. Turned out beautifully although very, very thick. Almost more of a lentil stew or curry. Could be watered down, but is still good as is, although I prefer to dip/spread on pita wedges this way. Made A LOT. Next time would halve beans/lentils but keep other measurements the same. (I like lots of tomato and spices and the extra broth would help keep it soupier.)

Basic Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Delicious! Dipped bread, broccoli, and mushrooms with great results. Perfect fondue! I'd only ever had Gruyere-based fondues that use wine/alcohol. They are tasty, but not everyone likes the flavour left over by the spirits/wine. This alternative was a big hit all round! Made with a really good quality, aged cheddar. I highly recommend trying this recipe the next time you're thinking fondue. I would especially recommend this recipe to first-time fondue-ers. Thank you, thank you for the great recipe!

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Looked and tasted good. Followed recipe exactly first time through. Not as much of a kick from the cayenne as I was expecting. Would add more cayenne and/or chili powder and/or red pepper flakes next time. Also, as other reviewers suggested, would use less chicken broth; sauce was fairly runny. Good recipe overall though. Thanks!

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Very tasty. Only change I made was to substitute ricotta for the cottage cheese, which I do for any pasta recipe that calls for cottage cheese. I think I'd use a bit less pasta and quite a bit more ricotta next time. Maybe use 2/3 the spaghetti and 1 1/2 times the ricotta. Everything else seemed just right. Great recipe! Thanks!
