Spring Strawberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2002
Fantastic recipe!! I would use less oil next time (add oil until it's to your taste). I ran out of strawberries but tossed in mandarin oranges and it was really good!!

Tender Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: May 24, 2002
I used chicken drumsticks and served over egg noodles which was good. I found it a little bit rich - I might suggest using a little less BBQ sauce and adding some water or more coke.

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Unbelievable! Makes so much gravy (which I love) and makes the meat tender, not chewy at all. Thanks Kathy!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
Very good and very easy to make. I took the advice of many other reviews and I only put one block of cream cheese in and I was great. I might even put a little less in next time but it turned out very well.

Baked Ziti I

UNBELIEVABLE! So good and easy! I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe. You can substitute ground turkey or chicken and it turns out just as good!

Slow Cooker Bean Casserole AKA Sweet Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
My husband LOVED this but I thought it was okay. There seemed to be too much meat for me so I may double the sauce next time.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa Stew

SO GOOD! A great change from normal stews and very filling. I used turkey sausage (lower fat) and it was fantastic. Will make again and again!

Really good. I added ground beef because my husband's a meat guy and he loved it even with the cabbage! Thanks!

Vegetable Beef Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
I love it! I thought my mom's was the best and I could never find anything close to it, but here it is! We just bought a house so we're saving every penny and this recipe makes a lot, is SO good and is cheap!

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2006
Amazing! I have made this so many times. I use 7 grain bread (which my hubby hates) and he doesn't even notice. To save time I also make them in muffin cups and cook them at 375 for 30 minutes. I always serve them with mashed potatoes... isn't that how meatloaf is always served?? Enjoy!

Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2006
My husband HATES eggs and when I asked him if he would mind if I made a quiche, I knew he wouldn't know what it was and just say "ok" but when I told him there were eggs in it, he was shocked! He LOVED it! Extremely easy to make and I doubled the recipe and made 2 - baked one right away and froze the other. I took other raters advice and cooked it at 350 for 45 minutes and it turned out perfectly.

Sorry to say but I'm not a fan of this one. The tenderloin turned out really well but the pumpkin was overpowering for me.

Pork Chops with Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
Very good! The pork chops came out insanely tender. I only made 3 pork chops and I would say that 45 minutes is a good cooking time.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
The boys LOVE these! I ran out of bacon and just put the brown sugar on the rest of the smokies and they inhaled them. I cooked them first then threw them in the crock pot for the night and they were excellent!

Sweet Potato Chimichangas

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
I made these when I went to visit my brother's family for Easter. I made rolled them 2 days before we left and deep fried them for about 2 minutes just before serving them. They were awesome! I found it VERY difficult to roll them like the instructions said so I spread the filling on thick and rolled them up like you would deli meat for a tray, which turned out much better. I used toothpicks to keep their shape. I served them with whipped cream and they were amazing!
