Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
I gotta say I'm not a big fan of this one. It sounded so good but found it didn't have much taste to it and really didn't thrill me enough to make again. Sorry! I really wanted to like it!

DELISH! I used the Italian dressing recipe from this site, which worked out really well! This is one of my faves... don't change a thing!

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
This recipe is so much fun!! I made it for a birthday at work to go with the cake mainly because I wanted to see what it looked like and it turned out beautifully! I tell you adults love it! I made it in a casserole dish and the 7 layers filled it to the top but the layers were thinner and would look better if they were thicker. But with a layer of whipped topping on the top was yummy! Next time I'm going to make them in wine glasses for individual desserts! You could do so many colour combinations for different holidays! I also put each layer in the freezer for about 25 minutes, which cut down on the time quite a bit.

Unbelievably good and such a nice change from the traditional salad. I added cooked chicken breast to make it a meal and it was fantastic!

Beef Mushroom Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2007
A very nice change to the traditional spaghetti sauce. The soup adds a very interesting flavour! I added garlic and a little red wine vinegar for a kick.

Southwest Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
YUM! I only made a few changes: whole wheat pasta, salsa instead of picante (couldn't find it) and omitted the olives (not a fan) and it was excellent!! I love spinach but you can hardly taste it so it would probably be great for picky kids!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
This was very good but I did not care for the raw oatmeal. I will put less in next time. I also substituted honey for the sugar and added a teaspoon of wheat germ for extra nutrition.

Cheddar Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
These are excellent! I completely forgot to put cheese on the inside so I just put it all on the outside. I also used brown rice and my husband and sister-in-law had no idea! They're very filling and very yummy!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Excellent but the cookies they make are HUGE when you put them together so I'll 1/2 the size of them next time. I also used only 2 cups of icing sugar and they were fabulous!

Chocolate Chip Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2007
This came out really nice, smelled wonderful! But the chocolate chips melted completely into the loaf and I do have a fruit/nut beeper. I was thinking that maybe if you put the chips in frozen? Hard to say but a nice flavour.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2007
Incredibly good! I have tried many stroganoff recipes and this one is by far the best! I used round steak and threw them in whole because I did it in the morning and didnt' feel like cutting them up. I served it with egg noodles an my husband and I "mmmmmm"'d through the whole dinner!

Vegetable Quiche Cups to Go

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
These are very good and very easy to make to your taste. I put 3 colours of peppers, onions, spinach and cheese and used 6 eggs instead of the egg substitute. However, I find they need something. I'm not quite sure what yet. Maybe some salt? Garlic? They are a little bland but they freeze very well and take only 30 seconds to microwave.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This was excellent! I added a brown gravy packet as some suggested as well as sauteed green peppers and onion into the meat. I used ground pork instead of beef and cut the carrots into bits intstead of mashing them. It turned out really well!

Lemon Pasta Sauce

Very good! I made it with the whipping cream but next time I would try light half & half to cut down on the fat. I added grilled turkey fillets and peas. Makes quite a bit of sauce.

Pecan-Oatmeal Pancakes

These were good but I found them very dense. I would put only 1 cup of oatmeal in next time. They're very filling, I was full after 2!
