Pork Chop and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2002
YUM! My family loved this recipe. It is probably their favorite pork chop dish. I served it with a green salad and dinner rolls and it was perfect. Felt like a nice Sunday dinner.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2002
These are like having candy for breakfast. (only good for you!) Delicious and fill your tummy, perfect for a late breakfast brunch on a lazy Sunday morning. My daughter eats her pancakes (all kinds) with peanut butter on the side and she said that the peanut butter/banana combo was fantastic! Definately a keeper.

Candied Chicken Breasts

We liked this just fine, but thought the sauce was a little too sweet. Probably would not make again.

Kelsey's Favorite Stuffed Green Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2003
We really loved this recipe. I do admit that I added a few ingredients to the filling to spice it up a bit. I added garlic and some italian seasoning and lots of salt and pepper to it. The kids loved them too!

Dough Art Basket

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2004
This is a simple recipe but I had a hard time working with it. I tried to braid the ropes but they kept breaking (even after adding a bit more flour). I finally just put the "snakes" ina coil, being sure to wet it as I went and it came out fine. A little lopsided but the family was impressed on Thanksgiving that I had made the bowl.

Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
Got a new egg poacher for Christmas and needed a good hollandaise sauce recipe. This one was just perfect and very easy to make. I've tried others that come out lumpy but this one came out perfect. I'll use it every time from now on! (oh and not too lemony at ALL)

Willy's Juicy Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
This was really good. The marinade made the steaks very tender and juicy. I had to modify it a bit (didn't use fresh garlic) but it was still good. I think next time I might use a little less orange juice and a little more hotsauce (probably just a personal prefrence) to make the steak a little less sweet. All in all my husband really enjoyed it and asked me to make it again sometime. Thanks for the recipe!

Saucy Chops II

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
We loved this recipe. The chops came out very tender (cut with a fork tender) and the sauce was perfect for a gravy over mashed potatoes. Would work great over rice as well. I will make this again because it is so easy and the ingredients I always have on hand. I used very large, thick 'Costco type' chops and had to lengthen the cooking time a bit but they were wonderful and tasted like I'd been cooking them all day.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
This is a very good stuffed pepper recipe! It's not as saucy as some recipes I've tried and I really like that. I added a little bit more garlic powder than the recipe called for, but I imagine it really depends on how much garlic flavor you like. This one is a keeper for sure.

Shepherd's Pie Complete

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2005
We really enjoyed having this for dinner. I tweaked it a bit (like I do most recipes) by adding different extra veggies, and I didn't have any beef gravy so I used chicken gravy with a little worcestershire sauce for a more beefy color, and only made 2 packets instead of 4 cans of beef. It came out very yummy and was a real stick to your ribs meal. Definitely a comfort food when served with hot rolls and a green salad. Family is telling me to make it again and again.

Spring Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2005
Delicious, crunchy and a nice blend of flavors. Also looks great on a holiday table with the red, green and white. Had it at a potluck and it was a hit (even with the kids!).

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

My family loved this. I did add more garlic than called for though and it came out delicious. All of them during the course of eating it said "give this one 5 stars!"

Baked Pineapple

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This was wonderful! It really IS like a dessert but still a very nice side dish. My entire family loved it and begged me to make it again - soon. Would be great with a ham dinner or porkchops. If you want to completely impress your family, friends, co-workers, in-laws then make it for them. This is going to become a tradition in our family!

Pumpkin Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This was very very good! I even lost my internet connection and ended up making it incorrectly and it STILL came out wonderful! (I put the melted margerine in with the pumpkin filling instead of drizzling it on top) The result was very much like a pumpkin cobbler. I don't recommend doing it the way I did, as I think the top of it will come out much more crunchy with the margerine drizzled. A very nice pumpkin pie taste in a non-traditional presentation. This is a must try for the holidays.

Pecan Salmon Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This was good but seemed to me a pretty basic salmon spread. Next time I will add more spice (cayanne and horseradish) to it and more salt. It was pretty bland even with salty crackers and we finally started sprinkling salt on each topped cracker as we ate it (made it taste much better). On the other hand, the finished product looks fabulous! My family figured it was 'store bought' because it looked so pretty. This is a keeper even at only 4 stars.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
All I can say is YUMMMMM! Soft in the middle with a light crunch on the outside. These are just like I remember at Christmas time when I was little. Has ingredients that are usually on hand and easy to make by anyone. Just the smell alone of the cinnamon baking will put you and your family in the holiday spirit! These are a must make for the holidays.

Cheese and Artichoke Fondue

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
This was very good. I served it with several kinds of bread and veggies. It did end up at one point getting a little chunky so I just added a little bit more american cheese and it smoothed it right out. Family and friends enjoyed it much more than one I made before that had wine in it.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
This was just perfect! It was a nice blend of flavors and the perfect side dish to our meal. I didn't have any frozen chopped broccoli so I used a combo of cooked fresh broccoli and cauliflower instead. Came out wonderful! I wouldn't change the crackers out for bread crumbs as you won't get quite the same buttery, crunchy taste. 5 stars!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Very tasty pork chops. Ends up being a very herby taste which is nice for a change. They ended up cut with a fork tender and not at all dry. If someone ended up with dry chops, I'd say that they weren't thick enough or were cooked too long. Served it along with broccoli casserole (on this site also), and a fresh fruit salad. Mmmmmm!

Easy Ham and Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2006
As other reviewers have said, it is a very basic recipe. I added too much to list here and it became an entirely different recipe. (which I may just submit after I tweak it a bit more) Bottom line is play with it a LOT. Add things that your family likes and it may become at hit at your house. :)
