Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This was so yummy! A nice spin on sloppy joes. The only thing I added was chili powder (saw in another recipe) for a little kick. Came out spicy, sweet, sour and a little barbequey too. We loved it!

Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
Delicious and SO easy! I love recipes that are easily adaptable and in this one you can add what you like and take out what you don't. I didn't change it much except to add red onions to the sauteed veggies. Came out wonderful and looked impressive serving it right out of the pan. This one is a keeper.

This was good but I added more lentils making it a bit thicker. Would make again.

Spiced Mixed Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Just made these and they are easy peasy to make! I was also impressed like the others that there is no butter. They came out crunchy (after cooling off completely) and tasty with just the right amount of spices. My daughter and hubby couldn't believe that I made them in the microwave! Will make again (and often).

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
These burgers were awesome! I "grilled" them on the stove and they were super yummy. Can't imagine how much better they could be actually grilling them. The horseradish was the extra kick and the bacon a nice surprise in every bite. To keep them from falling apart, I shaped the patties then put them on a plate in the fridge for about 45 minutes. Worked like a charm. Hubby would give these 6 stars if he could!

Mrs Espy's Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Didn't have any enchilada sauce so was looking for a quick and easy recipe to make instead. This one fit the bill! All of the ingredients I had on hand and it was so easy to make. I may never buy store bought enchilada sauce again! Thanks for the tasty recipe!

This was easy to make and yummy over broccoli! I added a bit more cheese to make it thicker but other than that it was perfect.

Sugar Glazed Walnuts

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
These are pure YUM! Easy, fast and you can eat them by the handful or put them in salads, cookies or wherever. I didn't have to put mine in the oven as one other reviewer did. I just let them cool on the greased cookie sheet and they crisped right up. Try these for sure!

Caramel Nut Crunch

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
I have an over abundance of Cheerios to use up and this recipe is just perfect. It's easy to make and is similar to a popcorn/caramel product such as fiddle faddle (in texture and taste). It comes out crunchy and nutty and I'd say it's perfect for parties, brunch or just for munching.

Delicious easy and a great way to use up pretzels! I made them with Splenda and they came out perfect. Can't wait to take them to my next Bunco night!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
I made these for Christmas and they were a HUGE hit. People had no idea how easy they were to make or that they were made with ROLO'S! I had made a double batch then had to make more for New Years Eve. Super easy, fun to make (even with little ones!) and TOTALLY yummy!

Sweet Pretzel Stacks

These are just plain YUMMY! Made it exactly as the directions said except just broke up the pretzels instead of crushing them. They taste like candy and I am wishing I doubled the recipe! Great way to use pretzels.

Cayenne Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I had one of those large bags of pretzels from Costco and was looking for something yummy to do with them. This was the perfect idea! I agree that it is too much oil, but I compensated by just adding more pretzels until I thought it was just right. Ended up having 4 trays of them in the oven. Everyone loved them and have asked me to make more. Thanks for the recipe!

Overnight Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
Made this for Superbowl Sunday Brunch and everyone LOVED it. Only switch I made was using the thick texas toast bread instead of french. I am wishing I had a deeper dish though because it bubbled out and over into my oven. (it needed cleaning anyway!) Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Almond Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
Made these for Christmas and everyone loved them. I was worried that they might be hard to make but they were anything BUT! They came out just like the kind you can buy at a latte stand. I even half dipped some of them in chocolate and white chocolate and they were SO wonderful dipped in coffee! If you've never made them then try this recipe.

Layered Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
I served this on New years eve and it was good but still pretty much the same as any other one like this I've had. It was easy to make and does look pretty on the table but I am still going to look for another shrimp/dip recipe.

Yam Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
We just loved this recipe. It was very easy to make and didn't require too many ingredients like other similar recipes. I made it exactly as written with the exception that I used walnuts instead of pecans. I did have to cook it a bit longer than the recipe but that is probably because I had cooked the yams the previous day and they were cold from the fridge. The topping came out slightly crunchy and made the walnuts almost seem candied. Yummmm!! Thank you for a great recipe!

Tuna Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2006
This is just like the delicious tuna casserole my mom used to make. I love the fact that you don't have to use any soup in it. I followed the recipe to a tee except for I topped it with a layer of crushed ritz crackers. I did this for 2 reasons. I read other reviews where it said it came out too dry, so I figured this would help the noodles stay nice and moist (it did),and it just sounded to me like it needed a crunchy top. The result was yummmmmy! The family loved it and ate every bite! This one is a keeper.

Layered Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
This was really good! I had read others suggestions and heres what I did. I used more cheddar cheese on both the bottom and the top, I used a large can of spaghetti sauce instead of the tomato sauce and I put a layer of sliced olives on top of the cream cheese/sour cream mixture. The result was so yummy! I do admit though that leftovers are even BETTER so I think next time I will cook it the day before I want to serve it, then put it in the fridge and reheat it the following day. Pure comfort food that you and your family will love.
