Garlic Chicken, Vegetable and Rice Skillet

I made a few changes to this to suit our family. I was afraid that it was going to be a little on the flavorless side, but this surprised me by being a very good dish that my husband said was "stinking amazing". I used cous cous instead of rice, added about a clove more of garlic, and seasoned the chicken with seasoned salt and pepper. Followed the cooking directions to a T and it turned out amazing! I also used a blend of parmesan and asiago, and sprinkled some more on top when serving. Will be making this again!

Pretzel Buns

Rotini with Broccoli

I was a little hesitant to try this recipe, my husband and I aren't that big on pasta. But it was VERY good! I cut the recipe in half (as there's just the two of us) but used the full amount of garlic. I also added carrots, sun dried tomatoes, and lemon pepper. The lemon juice may be a bit strong if you don't normally like it, but my husband "hates" lemon and LOVED this pasta. I will definitely be making again.

Classic Dinner Rolls

THE BEST ROLL RECIPE...ever. :) Sometimes I'll substitute half of the flour with wheat flour, and they turn out wonderful.

Baked Lemon-Basil Pasta

This was really good! I didn't quite have enough sour cream, so I added a little cream cheese to it. The sauce was delicious and stuck to the pasta. Made with colorful bow tie pasta and served with bread sticks! It was awesome.

Mall Pretzels

This is the best soft pretzel recipe that I have found so far! I follow it exactly, except the baking soda bath. I boil the pretzels in it until they float, drain, and then bake. I've used this to make pretzel hamburger and hotdog buns as well. Instead of spending a ton of time shaping the pretzels, I'll just shape a few and then form the rest into ropes and cut them in 1-2 inch pieces for pretzel bites! Delicious!

Spinach Basil Pesto

Not your traditional pesto. I ended up adding about three times as much basil to even taste it, the spinach and pine nuts overwhelmed all of the other flavors.

Caramelized Chicken Wings

This recipe is AMAZING! Per previous reviews, I cut the sugar to 1/3 cup. Since we like things spicy, I also added some red pepper flakes and hot sauce to the recipe. The chicken literally fell off the bones into your mouth! It was absolutely delicious. I added some peanuts and water chestnuts to the sauce and served over noodles and broccoli. I will be making again and again!

Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

This was very good and a refreshing change! I've had this recipe in my box for about a year and have been afraid to try it. I shouldn't have! I used the Quick and Easy pizza crust recipe from this site. I also went to the grocery store with the sole purpose of buying a pear for this recipe, so of course i forgot it! Drained and sliced a can of pears and it was still awesome. Next time I will double the toppings, as this was very crusty, and perhaps add a little garlic for extra flavor.

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

This is a really good base recipe! If you don't have something, it's very simple to substitute something else. To try and make these even more healthy, I substituted wheat flour for half of the all-purpose, applesauce instead of eggs, and added 2 tbsp flaxseed and pretty much cut the oil in half or more (I have NO idea why you could possibly need a whole cup! It just grosses me out.) They almost tasted like oatmeal cookie muffins!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

It was a good base recipe, but I made a lot of changes. Cut it down to 6 servings. I used minced garlic and browned it lightly in the butter before adding to the mashed potatoes- I actually ended up adding more garlic to get the taste I wanted. Also added some pepper and milk.

PHILADELPHIA Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake

This is seriously the best cheesecake I've ever had! My husband's grandmother made it for a family event and I was craving it, so I scoured Allrecipes.com and found it! I used graham cracker crust instead of the nilla wafers, and it was wonderful.

K-Dub's Alfredo Ravioli Bake

A few changes! first, I used the ravioli that I had on hand- spinach and walnut. Second, I replaced the butter with olive oil and made my own, lo-fat alfredo sauce. Added broccoli and it was delish! A nice way to make a one-dish meal with things you may have on hand!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

These were...interesting. I cut the recipe in half and ended up with WAY more beans than needed. I could taste the sweet potatoes above and beyond everything else. They weren't bad, but I'll probably never make again. A plain bean burrito tastes much better!
