Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2013
Every time we have a family gathering, I am asked to make this recipe. I have been told by people it is the best buffalo chicken dip they have ever tasted. I use Ken's Ranch dressing and only put in about 3/4 cup, otherwise it gets too soupy. I also used the pre-cooked chicken in the meat department. Usually two bags is plenty chopped up small. I put it all in a mini crock pot so it stays warm and top it with cheese. Yum!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2013
Love this recipe! It is so easy to make. Adding the salsa helps to cut out a lot of steps of other chili recipes I have seen. I make it as the recipe shows but add a little more chili powder to taste. Highly recommend!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
I have made this cake twice. The first time everything came out great. This time, I made cupcakes and they were very dense and dry. I don't know if there was something I did wrong with the recipe or maybe this just doesn't work for cupcakes.

Greek Orzo Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
Made this for a large crowd and got some rave reviews. It was so good. Made it just the the way the recipe shows. It actually gets better the longer the flavors have time to soak in. Will definitely make it again!

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
Loved this recipe! I had some leftover eggnog from the holidays that I didn't want to go to waste and found this recipe. It had a great flavor and was very moist. Next time I might cut back on the rum extract a little because it was pretty strong. I also added a glaze over the top which definitely sealed in the moisture. The glaze recipe is: 2 cups of confectioners sugar and 6 tablespoons of eggnog. I would recommend adding the eggnog in gradually so the glaze does not get too liquidy.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
This has been my go-to recipe for pot roast. I use a bottom round roast and it comes out so tender after letting it slow cook all day. I add potatoes and carrots at the start and the flavor is great. The gravy is not very thick, so I would recommend adding a little cornstarch or flour to help thicken it up.

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
I love this recipe and have made it quite a few times! To make it a little easier, I dice the jalapenos and add them to the cheese and bacon mix, instead of stuffing them. It helps to save time and they are still just as yummy!

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2012
I made this for a cookout this past weekend and everyone loved it. I did make a few changes. I browned the hamburg and added the taco seasoning as directed on the package. Then let it cool. I added in Catalina dressing, about 3/4 of the bottle, to the salad not in with the meat. I used kidney beans, added some red onion, and crushed Doritos (instead of plain tortilla chips) over the top so they didn't get too soggy mixed in. I also left out the salsa and sour cream. Definitely will make it again. FYI- the salad fills a 13x9 aluminum pan.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
I had a big bag of onions with no idea what to do with them. So glad I found this recipe! Yum! I love onion soup and this is one of the best I've had so far. I made half of the recipe and I wish I would have made more.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
The cupcakes came out very moist. They got rave reviews. Only issue was that the frosting was too soft at first, so I added some extra powered sugar and then it was great. Besides that, YUM!!!
