Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2014
This was a great soup. I added some white wine after the chicken broth simmered, before I added the milk. It was a great find!

The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
Great recipe! I didn't use the red pepper flakes, garlic or basil. I pounded the chicken to make them similar in thickness. Next time I might use spaghetti sauce instead of marinara, like others said it was the brand of marinara sauce I used that I wasn't crazy about. For the croutons, I used my favorite brand 'Rothbury Farms garlic cheese croutons' bought at Walmart. I tried crushing the croutons as some suggested, won't do that again, it was too mushy. Even so, everyone liked it. It's a keeper!

Eye of Round Steak and Ketchup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
I never thought of using round steak, I make a similar dish using pork chops. I don't use the flour, although it would thicken the sauce/gravy as it cooks. I simmer with the lid on and then off later to reduce the sauce. Everyone is right, lots of onions and the ketchup and you have a great gravy for mashed potatoes!!

Zucchini Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
After shredding the cucumber & zucchin place them in a clean kitchen towel and roll tightly to remove excess water. Using the mayonnaise and ranch dressing will then still pull out some water so be sure to drain or use a slotted spoon to remove any more water. One reviewer suggested this as a cole slaw, what a great idea!
