About this Cook
Im a 24yr old, married mother of 2. I have always loved to cook, i use to watch my mother all the time. I then pursued and took culinary arts. I love being creative and will try any type of new food
My favorite things to cook
im a homemade type of person. -i like to make roasted leg of lamb basted in greek yogurt -alfredo -tomato, red & yellow pepper, basil, and mozzarella grilled sandwhich -hot & sour soup -calamari i could honestly go on forever!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving my mother ALWAYS has to make her famous deviled eggs! also there has to be homemade gravy. Everytime my family comes up from florida or illinois we always have manicotta. Its just become a tradition. -Manicotta -Garlic bread -Pie & ice cream
My cooking triumphs
-Cooked lamb perfectly first time and now everytime -the perfect chocolate mousse recipe -Homemade pumpkin pie from a fresh jack-o-lantern -be-heading and gutting a rooster (yes you can eat rooster) and cooking it to perfection!
My cooking tragedies
one year i made a batch of chocolate fudge(jello brand recipe)and i was in such a rush i stuck it in the freezer to get it to harden faster. well it did and i took it to my mothers for christmas and put it in her fridge. Well we totally forgot about it and i left it. My mother went to open the fridge and it fell out in a cholate liquid mess! -Too much rum in chocolate mousse once -Tried to tweek one of traditional chicken casseroles once and needless to say not even the dogs would eat it :)

Cheesy Chicken and Potato Casserole
Delicous! every week i use leftovers for either lunch or dinner. tonight is dinner! -i used a box of julienne potatoes w/the cheese sauce -leftover roasted chicken (used the breast meat) -leftover peas and 1/2 cup diced white onion -simmered all together till tender -added bread crumbs and some cheddar cheese cant wait till hubby gets home to try it! but i sneaked a bite and it is GOOD!! Good, quick, and easy!
