Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2002
This is a great recipe for weeknights when you want something quick, easy, and yummy. I suggest using the Pace Chipotle salsa and Mexican 3 cheese blend for a more complex flavor. I also added sliced black olives with the cheese.

Great for a quick, weeknight supper. Went well with wild rice and steamed broccoli. I will make this again.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2002
I'm a bit confused by all the accolades this recipe has recieved. These cookies are okay, but the pudding in the mix makes them too rich and an unnatural yellow color. My husband did not like them at all. There are much better recipes on this site.....try Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II.

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2002
If follwed as written, this recipe is AWESOME! (I'm a little puzzled how people can change the recipe substantially by substituting ingredients, and expect the same quality in a recipe. Butter and real eggs are what make it good! Duh.) I have tried just about every 5 star chocolate chip cookie recipe on this site and this one is still the best!!

Linda's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2002
Terrific! I used light mayo and reduced-fat sour cream and still got great results. I'm a blue cheese fanatic, so I doubled the amount of blue cheese.

Pear Salad with Raspberry Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2002
This salad is delicious and looks lovely! For a different twist, add some toasted almonds. May sound strange, but I also added some crubled blue cheese, which totally worked.

Championship Chocolate Chip Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2002
This is a good recipe to make when you are short on time, as it requires very little prep before going into the oven. However, if given ample time I'd probably make something else. I think that "7 Layer" or Magic Bar cookies are better.

Peanut Blossoms

Wonderful, classic cookie. Great for gift-giving at the holidays. I like a slightly sweeter cookie, so I increased the white and brown sugar just a bit.

Quick and Easy Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2002
I was a bit skeptical that something this easy could be so good. But the cobbler was delicious and definitely the easiest I've ever made. I did add 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the flour mixture AND sprinkled additional cinnamon on top. Yummy served warm with vanila ice cream!

Irish Cream Truffle Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2001
Delicious! Made this for the holidays and it disappeared fast....people just kept eating and eating! The only problem I had was using the 8X8 dish, which resulted in a very thick fudge. I had problems with it breaking and ending up wasting a lot when cutting it. Next time, I'll try a 9X9 dish. Great recipe, very addictive!

Baked Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2001
Homerun!!! This recipe is YUMMY and EASY!!! Everytime I take it somewhere, people ask for the recipe. I made this sauce as well as the brandied orange cranberry sauce from allrecipes.com and this one was the overwhelming favorite....and so much easier to make. This will be my standard cranberry sauce from now on.

Chocolate Delight

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2001
I hate to be the only negative reviewer, but I have to say that this recipe is only average. Easy to make and looks impressive in a trifle bowl, but truthfully, the overall taste is a bit unsophisticated. Also, the ingredients are too much to fit in a standard 3 qt trifle bowl. One package of pudding and 1 tub of cool whip would have been plenty. The best part was the kahlua soaked cake. Maybe I'll try this again but use a homemade pudding and real whip cream instead.

Delicious! Be sure and let the fish marinate for several hours and don't be afraid of cooking the fish until it is chargrilled.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2001
Thanks Colleen for an awesome recipe!! I served these at a recent brunch and they were delicious and so FAST & EASY to make. I used a heaping cup of fresh blueberries and needed an extra splash of milk to get the right consistency for the batter. The recipes made 8 standard size muffins. I had a lot of the strusel topping leftover despite applying it very generously to the tops of the uncooked muffins. Next time, I will only make half of the topping.

Asparagus Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2001
This was a terrific brunch dish! My boyfriend confessed that he didn't think he would like it, but ended up really enjoying it. I only had 9" pie shells, so I made 1.5 times the recipe and that was the perfect amount for two 9" quiche. To round out the meal, I served the quiche with fruit salad, potatoes & onions, and "To Die For" blueberry muffins...all from ALLRECIPES.com.

Fruit Dip II

Yummy and easy, perfect for a potluck or party. People are usually amazed at how simple it is. I add a tsp or so of orange juice, which helps to blend the ingredients more easily.
