Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Cinnamon Caramel Pecan Bubble Bread

Holiday time is not complete without bubble bread! Family members with food allergies (nuts, corn, cinnamon) have adapted this recipe successfully, so that each new generation can enjoy it. As kids, my sister and I loved to roll the bubbles in the butter and cinnamon-sugar. Our children now enjoy this part of making bubble bread... but not quite as much as we all enjoy eating it!

Butter Cookies II

I recommend changing the name of these to EPIC WIN BUTTER COOKIES. I refrigerated the dough for about 30 minutes, and I didn't bother to chill the pans. I shaped these by rolling them into balls and pressing a thumbprint into each one. Batch #1 got holiday sprinkles in the thumbprint. If I had Hershey Kisses on hand, a kiss would have gone into the thumbprints in Batch #2. I also considered jam or a frozen raspberry + a couple chocolate chips for the thumbprints, but decided to go with plain. This is a very easy recipe, and it was perfect for my "I need homemade butter cookies RIGHT NOW" frame of mind.

Italian Sausage Potluck Pleaser

This isn't my favorite meal, but I like that it's easy to make with ingredients I usually have on hand. It's warm comfort food in winter, and always gets devoured at potluck meals. Since I'm not so fond of ricotta cheese, I adjust the cheese blend to use less ricotta and more mozzarella.

Teeny Jeanne's Irish Soda Bread

This is my mother's recipe, which she put together gradually by combining different soda bread recipes she'd tried. When her Celtic gift shop opened, she asked me to make 6 loaves so customers could have samples during the grand opening weekend. I mixed 2 loaves at a time in my Kitchenaid, and I loved how simple these were to mix and bake. The Irish gentleman who works in Mom's store loves this bread for its authenticity, and it got great reviews from customers. I need to keep sour cream on hand regularly, so that I can pop into the kitchen and make this bread more often!
