Chicken Gravy

I really enjoyed this recipe. The gravy turned out thick and creamy. I didn't have poultry season on hand so I just put in 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic poweder, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp paprika and was excellent.

Waffles II

This recipe was wonderful! I added vanilla, and my waffles were very flavorful. No sugar added. They were light and airy. Recipes that call for butter tend to make a heavier, soggy waffle. I will use this recipe from now on.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

I've been using this recipe for months now... I use it each time I make biscuits & (sausage) gravy. They break up nicely and absorb the gravy well... way better than any cut-out biscuit in a can.

Grandpa's Guacamole

This guac is good for us, because my husband does not like tomatoes. I can't have cilantro, I'm allergic. We mixed 2 avocados w/ 1/2c sour cream, 2 tbls lime juice,, couple dashes of garlic salt... and it was amazing! I left out the ranch... didn't have any powder form. The lime juice keeps it from turning so dark the next day (or 2-3 days if you are lucky). I get creeped out by dark guac because it tastes stale to me.

Fried Onion Rings

If your onion rings taste like 'flour and oil', your oil is not hot enough. These turned out to be superb! I added garlic salt, fresh ground pepper, and thyme to my batter. Also mine turns out thick... probably the type of beer I'm using. I just add more beer till the consistency is what I need. I make friend mushrooms, onions, and shrimp with this batter.
