Jumbo Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2002
very tasty...I used ground ginger (3 tsp) as a substitute for the fresh ginger root...the sauce tasted like a Chinese peanut sauce...will use again

Blue Cheese Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2002
Simple and Quick....I wanted a recipe for potato salad without mayo... I cooked red potatoes in a microwave just like baked potatoes....then I substituted chives for green onions and imitation bacon bits for real bacon...I omitted blue cheese since not everybody likes it...even the kids enjoyed the finished salad...definitely will do this again!

Coaled and Tinned Trout

Reviewed: May 29, 2002
I used steelhead trout (similar to salmon)... I substituted Cajun Seasoning for the pepper... (tried to use sparingly since other review indicated it was too spicy) it was good (not great).

Definitely lacked something...next time I'll put in cream. Maybe more Marsala wine. I served it with soaghetti...butter sauce wasn't enough.

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2002
I would stay with 5 hours of cooking. Next time I'll double the amount of barbeque sauce that is poured over the brisket for the final hour. It was too dry but very tasty.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2002
Relativly simple to make...I used both hot & sweet sausage...comments were it was too spicy. I thought it was a little too thin...next time I would reduce the amount of liquid from the beans. Only 1 kid liked it.Even the one who likes bean soup, didn't care for this.

I've made this twice in the past few weeks. My husband and I think it's delicious. I find it so simple and quick to prepare. The kids have mixed reviews.
