I am a Southern gal. I grew up in Georgia with a family of good Southern cooks. Our family reunions were amazing because of all the delicious foods prepared. I spent lots of time in the kitchen with my mother and her sisters. I learned from watching and hands on from family. In school I took cooking classes. This taught me new techniques. As I was older, I learned to love Gourmet restaurants and Ethnic foods. I love to cook and serve my friends new foods they may not have ever tried, if they hadn't dined with me.
My favorite things to cook
Baking is my least favorite, I love to cook meat dishes and salads.
My cooking tragedies
I use my nose to tell me if something is worth going in a restaurant. If the aroma isn't there, I am not excited. The smell of spices, herbs and fresh garlic are a must. I do lots of mini taste's and tweek as needed.
