Mom's Country Gravy

This is a great recipe, but for more flavor I use bacon drippings. The key thing to always do is brown the flour. I do not brown for 10 minutes though, to me that is TOO brown.. Another recipe that was a favorite growing up was to brown hamburger with salt, pepper, garlic powder & onion powder, and then make gravy with it..serve over rice. YUM!

Grandma's Crispy Pork Wontons

These are great. My minor changes were to leave out the celery, and I used green onion. I also added 2 tsp of minced ginger and 4tbsp minced garlic. I also made a sauce using a 4 to 1 ration of kikkoman soy sauce to kikkoman teriyaki sauce, 1 tsp minced ginger & 2-3tsp minced garlic, which I heated almost to boiling on the stove (about 4 minutes on med-high heat). PERFECT dipping sauce! (you could add a pinch or two of sugar if you prefer the dipping sauce to be a little thicker--or you could use kikkoman teriyaki baste & glaze). All in all, fabulous, and will DEFINITELY make again! Tastes VERY much like Mama Fu's! :D

Clone of a Cinnabon

This recipe was fantastic! The best homemade cinnamon bun recipe I have tried yet! For me though, the dough was VERY dry, I had to add more moisture to it..I'm not sure if I added too much flour (my 4 year old daughter was helping me) or maybe my milk wasnt warm enough? or maybe it was because my eggs were straight out of the fridge? not sure..but..I added 1/4c milk to the dough after it was mixed, and another 1/3c margarine. I think next time I will use regular salted butter. It rose great, and tastes FANTASTIC!! I only made half the recipe (the rest of the dough is in the fridge for tomorrow) and used the icing as is except for only 3/4c conf sugar. sooooo yummy!!! Thank y'all for this recipe!
