Delicious and super easy to make, though I prefer to switch the walnuts out for almond slices/slivers!

Spinach Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
These were pretty good! I made 3 kinds of devilled eggs for Easter and this was a close second to the Bacon cheddar ones.... but it's hard to for spinach to compete with bacon. :-P

Harvest Vegan Nut Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
As a meat-eater, I have to say that this is not bad for vegan food. :-P Pretty easy to make, too. Plus, you can make it ahead of time and refrigerate until you want to bake it.

Onion Skin Colored Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
Keep them in the onion skins longer and they will turn out even darker. Also, be sure to make more than you'll need; some eggs will crack or take colour unevenly. Best part: the eggs look great and then you can still eat them!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
I skipped the beans, and the dip turned out great. Then again, a five year old can't mess up taco dip. It's super easy.

Once your guests get over the strange combination of fish and sweetness, they will love this dish. It's amazing and I will definitely make it again!

Black Bean and Corn Salad II

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
It's alright (and that's coming from someone who hates beans). Also, it kept rather well in the fridge.

Easy Eggless Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
Batter looks delicious but the cake didn't rise much. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out raw in the middle. Sampled cake anyway... nothing special. It was kind of a waste of ingredients. I should have just gone out to buy eggs and made something else.

Fried Butterflied Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
The batter for this was ridiculous. I used 1/3 of the water and it was still really runny. I was left with way too much of it and threw a bunch out. The dry mixture is fine but I've had better recipes which used Panko instead and/or also had some unsweetened coconut shavings in it which made it more delicious.

Spiced Fruit Compote

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
I made this compote for to go with a traditional Polish Christmas dinner and I sort of regret trying something new and not going with a family recipe. Everyone at my table tasted the vinegar and thought it was "strange"... Needless to say, hardly anyone finished their glass. This recipe seems to be a good fruit combination but the vinegar is just a BAD IDEA. It seemed odd to me since I saw it, but I added it anyway (only half of the recommended amount) and I completely regret it. This compote may be good without the vinegar, so my tip would be to skip that ingredient or just find another recipe.
