I served these to company last night, and they got raves all around! I had to double the recipe, because I just knew everyone would want more than one half (yes, we're pigs!). I only added a touch of milk, after reading the other reviews, and that's really all it needed. I think 1/2 cup would have been too much. I stirred the bacon right into the potato mixture, rather than sprinkling it on top. Also, to make scraping out the potatoes easier, and to avoid breaking the skins, use a grapefruit spoon! You can carve the outline of the amount of potato you wish to scrape, and then you can gradually scrape the potato from its skin with the grooves. It worked like a charm!
