'Tis the season to be jolly, but it's hard when the money supply is running low and I still have twenty more to buy for. As the Christmas season tumbles on, I wonder if it is even worth hauling out the decorations and spending all my hard-earned cash.
Every where I turn someone has their hand out, asking for money or donations.
Pondering on these empty handed people makes me realize...if it weren't for Christmas, would these worthy organizations, or the poor ever get help? Probably not. The Christmas season seems to bring out the good, the unselfishness in us all. But why will
I give more at Christmas? Shouldn't I help all year through?
Maybe I need to check my attitude. Instead of thinking on others as needy or poor, I need to look at them as individuals that has fallen into hard times. It could be me needing the help. I hope if ever I am in need, there will be people who have decided
to have a spirit of giving all throughout the year. Now I'm off to make more cookies, put up more lights, and sing more carols...all throughout the year!
