I've tried this twice now, following directions and ingredients and the video perfectly. Both times the batter did not really form a crust, certainly did not crisp, and the peaches didn't really sink. The result was more of a spongy-soggy mess, neither texturally nor visually attractive. Flavor is great - I don't like five-spice powder, but it was great in this. Because of the texture, I'd rather make a plain old peach crisp (and add a little 5-spice powder) than ever make this again.
