Cucumber and Avocado Sushi

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Good... Our first try at sushi. We used a different rice recipe, but maybe should have just used this one.

Perfect Sushi Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Wow, it was too sweet for me. My husband thought it was fine, but on the sweet side. The vinegar amount seemed fine. Maybe cut it a little. If we use this recipe again, we'll cut the sugar in half.

Almond Puff

These rock... Everyone always loves them. I love almond flavoring. If you don't care much for it, I doubt you'd like these.

Spaghetti Salad III

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
This is a great base recipe to use whatever you want as far as veggies and kinds of cheese. I do find that it gets dry if left in the fridge for more than one day, so you may need to add more dressing later.

Sweet and Gooey Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
These were great! A bit gooey, but the favor was yummy. I brought them to a famiy gathering on Christmas Eve last year and they were gone quickly.

Cucumber Sandwiches II

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
These were tasty. I think I personally enjoyed some others I have had with chive cream cheese? These were still yummy though.

Quick Classic Gazpacho

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
This is a good base recipe. I adapted a bit for items I didn't have and items I wanted more of. I will continue to use this as abase though as it is simple and tasty.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
This was good. My husband burnt some of it, so it coud have been better. Besides that though, I think there may be better recipes out there, but this is still a yummy one to try.

Luscious Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
Pretty good, but maybe a little too buttery in taste. I used it on top of a white cake.

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
This was good, but not nearly as good as I expected. Just seemed like something was missing yet couldn't put my finger on what.

Very basic and easy with decent results. Not gourmet or anything, but perfect for first-timers like myself!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
Very good! Even got my picky 9 year old sister to eat it (with lots of cheese of course and picking out the tomatoes). She does like tacos though. Will use recipe again.

Turned out great! Very yummy! I love crisps especially since I don't have to deal with a crust!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
Great! We love these! It is difficult to keep the skins nice to put the potato mixture back in, but if we wreck one, we just stuff more potato into the other skins! Yum!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
Pretty good... Not exceptional by any means, but I would use this recipe again. I doubled this recipe (since I had a large can of pumpkin) and it made a TON! I also used half whole wheat flour and half white and also substituted half applesauce for half the oil. Still turned out very good. Almost 2 year old son and husband loved, but our friend took a couple bites and discreetly threw the rest of his muffin away. I wasn't offended as I know he's an extremely picky eater!

Scrambled Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
Not the absolute best thing we've ever had, but it was fun since it combined out usual once a week breakfast items (scrambled eggs w/cheese, bacon & hashbrowns) into one dish. I also added a little onion and wish I had actually added more. I'd make it again, but add onion and maybe a few other items to give it more flavor.

Beer Chops I

Not very good at all. The "beer" taste was not appealing. My husband is about as unpicky as they come and he could barely eat it.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2002
This turned out pretty good. I also substituted 1 cup whole wheat flour for one of the cups of flour (like someone else did) and also used applesauce in place of half of the oil. My 1.5 year old loved it! Great way to get veggies into kids!
