Monkey Bread Made Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
We make monkey bread for Christmas morning and this is the first time we did it in the individual muffin tins. It was SO much better! It baked faster and each "serving" was crisp and gooey - way better way to make it. We'll be doing it this way every year!

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I've made quite a few of the breakfast casserole recipes from this site and this one is DEFINITELY my favorite. I turned it into a full sized casserole just by scaling up the quantities. I made the top layer with 9 eggs, baked it until it looked done. It was marvelous - I served it with sour cream.

Wisconsin Five-Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
This was fabulous! I topped it with langostinos. We used the cheeses we had on hand: parmesan, swiss, romano, and an Italian blend. The kids all loved it. Definitely going in the FAVORITES file.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
This was fabulous. I cut the red pepper in half because my family doesn't love the spicy as much as I do. I also used angel hair instead of fettucinne because I love it, and I used langastinos instead of shrimp. I'm sure it's fabulous JUST as specified here but I loved it a lot with the modifications I made too. I'll definitely be making this again!!

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Even the kids loved it (the ones who said "Ew, I'm not trying that.") Easy and really good - definitely adding it as a regular feature at my dinner table.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Adding my thumb's up to this one. I've tried a couple other banana-chocolate chip breads and cakes, but this one was easy AND is quite delicious!

Banana Blast II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Good! Great way to use up bananas that are starting to brown that the kids won't eat. While I love baked banana goods, I wanted something fast and easy as I cannot always bake and would prefer to avoid too many baked goods. This is fast and low-fat and the kids like it.

Cream Cheese Cookies IV

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
Followed it to a t and they were awesome. They tasted like "gooey butter cake cookies" (others from St. Louis will know all about gooey butter cake!!) They were very gooey so you have to let them set on the cookie sheet before removing them. They won't store easily either (at least for me... they stick together) so you might want to make them when they are going to be enjoyed right away.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
This was yummy. Probably deserves 4.5 stars but I reserve 5 stars for the honey chicken kabobs that were the biggest hit ever here. But I'll definitely be making these again too!

Best Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
Yummy. Just plain YUMMY. This might be my new summer-cookout-dish that I bring to picnics and BBQs!! I followed the recipe almost exactly, however I didn't have a fresh tomato so I used a can of pasta-ready tomatos (not the full can, about 3/4). Next time, I might just buy the ready-prepared chicken fajita meat instead of marinading and grilling the chicken myself. The avacado is a must-have on this recipe!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
Big hit with my family! I didn't have onion but used onion powder - I will definitely make it with an onion next time (and there WILL be a next time!) I didn't follow the measurements exactly - after reading so many of the reviews, there was so much different advice. I just tossed the ingredients together, probably used more than a pinch of salt, even added a bit of chili powder. I used half butter and half olive oil but bet it would work just fine with only olive oil. Definitely 5 stars!

Rocky Road

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
This was really easy and yummy - the kids all 'helped' and loved the resulting product. I broke up a bunch of stick pretzels to add crunch and that saltiness. Highly recommended!!! I'm sure the kids would have devoured it without the pretzels but they made all the difference to me. Yum.
