Swiss Steak Stew

"Just Like Mom's" is a term I use carefully, but this recipe deserves the title. I made this last fall, and now that the weather has changed again, I am ready for more. This was one of my favorite childhood dishes and Mom has lost her recipe, so I shared this one with her! Excellent over egg noodles. Thank you for sharing!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Outstanding. Sublime. Fantastic. I could think of infinite adjectives to describe this sauce becuase its so wonderful. I am generally a traditionalist, but the addition of cream cheese is pure genious. I have never made such a velvety alfredo before. This is my new standard recipe. I did, however, make the following changes; I used some cream and some milk. I also used more parmesan than called for, and topped it off with some nutmeg and fresh parsley. I have also used this sauce as a base for many other sauces, creamy pesto, garlic and mushroom, creamy basil and tomato, the possibilities are endless. Thanks very much for a great recipe.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

I was intrigued by this recipe by the scads of positive reviews, coupled with the cheap and somewhat plebian ingredients. After trying it, I must add my voice to the chorus of those that love it. Easy to make, easy to revise, ingredients that are almost always on hand, and a quite impressive outcome. Who could ask for more? If you like this recipe, I would recommend the Adobo Chicken recipe as well. Thanks for sharing a great, simple recipe!

Aunt Fannie's Dinner

Tired and un-inspired, I logged on to find a recipe that would use up the ground turkey I had and that didn't require a trip to the store. Your recipe filled my requirements so we had it last night for dinner. Everyone enjoyed it, but I think my food snob hubby actually liked it the best. This is not our usual fare but it was very yummy, and just what we needed last night. I tripled the noodles called for and added more tomato sauce because of that, thus lowering the meat per serving ratio. I omitted the corn just because I wasnt in the mood, but would try it in the future. This was a very simple recipe, fast and easy, thank you for sharing. Bunny Foo Foo

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

I was really impressed with this recipe. I made it two weeks ago, and I am already craving it again! I love ginger and garlic so I used more than called for. Next time I will use a tad less vinegar and a bit more soy sauce, but this is now one of my favorite recipes. It is good for so many reasons, it's very easy to make, I usually have all the ingredients on hand, and it's cheap and low fat! Who could ask for more? I was considering adding some sesame seeds and minced green onion to the sauce after straining it for added appeal. Thanks for sharing!
